VINTAGE EVENT and SHOPPING for CHARITY

Thursday, November 10th, is the Vintage Extravaganza event here at U7. I am really excited for it because I do love Bakelite and vintage jewelry AND Carole Berk is bringing her fabulous vintage handbags too. I was just at Carole’s gorgeous art filled home to preview the pieces and she has AMAZING things for us including the jewelry from Alexis Kirk, the very first designer I ever bought from when I was first a buyer which obviously makes me vintage too. Not so sure I am happy about that! She also has exquisite Mexican sterling jewelry that is truly collectible. From 12-7 come for the GREAT PRICES on some really fabulous pieces and champagne or to just see your history pass before your eyes. Carole really knows what she is talking about as she had her own gallery for years, so it will be a very fun day.

Every charity in the country is really hurting for donors right now so I thought it would be fun and worthwhile if we got together some shopping parties and gave some money away at the same time. To YOUR favorite causes. All you have to do is organize your friends, family, colleagues and bring them here and I will do the rest. Let me know when you want to come and I will provide the champagne and donate ten percent of whatever is spent right on the spot. If you want to come after work or even on a Sunday afternoon, just let me know. Even the Sunday after Thanksgiving because I am in Chicago for the holiday but I will be back late Saturday night so I can come in.

I will be open this Saturday from 12-4. Please note the time as I have to leave early to go to a wedding. I will be dressed to go so if you want to see me in “regular” shoes, stop in. And let me tell you it is not so easy to find regular heels that are not six inches high. How do these girls do it??

All the white and champagne charmeuse pieces have come in from Planet for the holidays and if anyone wants the sweater with the cutouts from them in gray, white or black they have come back in. It is my favorite sweater from Planet. The boxy tees came in today in dark teal, beige, eggplant and red. There are also lots of new pieces for all your holiday parties from the other designers that will look spectacular with the vintage jewelry from the show.

The Linnea Lights candles are on sale for $15 each to make way for the new flavors. They make great hostess gifts and come with their own box of matches. Made of soy for clean air, they burn for 60 hours. EPA approved!!

The Claudio Riaz makeup event is going to be on January 11th and 12th, the same time as the Planet trunk show so it is going to be the most fun way to start the new year. Not to worry, Leslie will bring lots of pieces that you can take home with you for her usual instant gratification.

Have a great week and stop in soon!
