I hope everyone who celebrated Mother’s Day had a great day. We got to be with our little adorable granddaughter (pictured on the right in my pin necklace) and my in-laws who are just the greatest people ever, so it was so much fun! As many of you know we have a little grandson on the way in the next three weeks, so we are very excited. I can assure you I will let you know when that happens!!! Ok, I know, grandmothers are pathetically boring.
The great news is that Annemieke from Amsterdam, who makes the gorgeous latex jewelry is coming back on Wednesday, May 30th. She will only be here that day so I hope everyone will be able to come. If you want to order anything special you can certainly do that. She will be in the store from 1 until 7 so please stop in and meet this most talented designer.
Even though it is sort of the end of the season I still have some new pieces coming in daily. Today I got the silver, white, and black long crinkled tanks from Planet and a sleeveless tee from them in midnight blue, my new favorite color. Planet is sending me more of the boatneck sweater too. I am expecting the black pants and white tops from a new vendor the first of next week with the white pants and black tops at the end of the month. I also got more of the colorful glass, card and wallet cases in. I just reordered MORE because they are flying out the door. They do make the nicest presents. AND, the EYEBOBS have been shipped and will be here tomorrow. I have already checked out a place that will replace the lenses if you do not need readers so that you can have your prescription or blanks put in, which I intend to do because they are soooo cute. Only $75!! I have some new jewelry coming soon and I have some pieces that I commissioned with beads and tulle ties that I think are going to be gorgeous.

A little politics. I am having a fundraiser for Senator Sherrod Brown of Ohio, my home state, on June 27th at 6:30. If any of you would like to be invited or to serve on the host committee, let me know and I will make sure you are on the list. He is in a very tight race and he is a really hardworking good Senator. Thanks for letting me inject a little politics. It is an election year after all!
Memorial Day weekend is next week and so we can all start wearing white pants and shoes! You can certainly tell I am from the midwest, right? This was a very strict rule by the way. And sometimes we had to wait until the 30th depending when Memorial Day occurred! I feel like we get an extra week this year.
I want to end this with a great quote from Anna Wintour that really sums up what U7 is all about: “Create your own style, let it be unique for yourself and yet identifiable for others.” Good, right?
