The hot weather has snapped for a day and so I thought it was a great time to start receiving fall clothes! I got a TON in today: lots of Dress to Kill including two pairs of fabulous pants and some of her great shirts, some new jewelry from an Israeli designer and another style of the pleated dresses that are already gone from two weeks ago. This one has buttons down the front and is all thinly pleated. They do not wrinkle and they are either dressy with a heel, or for work with a boot. So much came in from Planet yesterday that I just finished putting it into the bin. Lots of the boatneck ribbed sweater we love in chartreuse, scarlet, midnight, hunter green and cobalt. There were black ones but of course they are gone. I can always get them. I TRY and buy you color but for the most part you want BLACK BLACK AND MORE BLACK!! There are some midnight blue skirts that are really pretty and lots of tops to go with them in midnight and black which I already told you is the big combination this year. Some beautiful scarves are here from Shawlsmith and you never know when it is going to snow in July so you may need them. There are some really dressy ones too in black and silver that would make a pair of pants and sweater look ready for a party. There are still a lot of things on sale too so hurry in before there are no bargains left!

There are lots of great articles and all kinds of great content INCLUDING a new one which is the reason I am mentioning this to you. Some of you may be familiar with a site and a new book, which I just ordered for the store, called Advanced Style. It is a blog about women that are shall we say, a little older, who are still fashionable. You know, like us. All Things Fashion DC wants to start a column about this and they need volunteers. What you will have to do is send them a picture everyday for seven days of your outfit and they will put it on their website. If you are interested in doing this, and it does NOT have to just be clothes from U7, please email them at their email on the site and they will make arrangements for you to do it. I think it would be so much fun and there are so many of you receiving this that would be so great for their site and so inspiring to women in our area. Don’t make me come after you to volunteer. Because you know I will.
I finally have the dates for the Ray Harris show. Because of the Jewish holidays and fashion week in New York we have to squeeze this in before Ray goes back to London so it is going to be Sunday, September 23rd and Monday, September 24th. We will have brunch and make a party of it!
The Comfy and Sun Kim will be here in the next ten days or so and I promise to let you know as soon as it gets here. Just giving you fair warning to get your running shoes on!
