If there is one thing we love in Washington more than politics it is SCANDAL. And we have it on a large and grand scale so big the entire WORLD is talking about it. Oh Jill what you have started. Or was it the General? Or was it the biographer? Or was it the OTHER general? This is what I say: if we got rid of every person in our military that has had an affair we would have the smallest military in the world. When we send our troops for multiple deployments for months and in some cases over a year, SOMETHING has got to give. So a few days after Veterans Day I say THANK YOU to the military that serves us and their long suffering families who serve with them.
And in a final word, memo to all those people over the age of ten: emails and any other information that is in, or lands in your computer that you may or may not delete, it is part of your hard drive FOREVER and the FBI and most ten year olds know how to get this information. And GMAIL? Really? Seriously? Just saying.
Back to fashion for a minute. If we can tear ourselves away from all this craziness. Remember when we were supposed to have the trunk show from Anarkh but then the tsunami/hurricane hit NY and NJ so we had to cancel? Well they finally were able to get into their studio and have sent the samples. And there are also some pieces for immediate gratification. I will have them until late Tuesday as I have to send them back before the holidays so if you are around and want to see some really beautiful things by the young lady that worked for Ivan Grundahl, stop in. I am very happy to support young women and I hope you are too! Because, and I digress back to the above paragraphs, women in power do not have time for all these affairs and writing 47 emails PER DAY. (Isn’t that considered harassment in some circles?)
I also got in some beautiful evening bags that will make a beautiful gift for you. At the end of the year I always buy myself one frivolous thing as a gift to myself for working so hard and this might just be the item this year. It is a bag that you will have forever and it comes in a few colors. I also have some very cool bracelets from Sissy Yates that might be my gift to myself this year. (OK, that is already two things and I have more I am sure.) Additionally I got in the ball necklaces from Jet in Amsterdam but in new colors: aqua, black, champagne, burnt orange and again, the white.
Just so you know, I am closed for Thanksgiving weekend as we are off to Chicago to see the kids and who are we kidding, the BABY! Two teeth just to keep you all informed.
