Giving Tuesday!

I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving. I have to admit it is so nice to have a long weekend off before all the holidays start! (Read: I got to spend the weekend with the baby!) And have they ever! It is so great to hear on the news that people are buying buying buying because it means that people outside the bubble we call home, are feeling better about the economy and that is good for all of us.

Speaking of spending, today is GIVING TUESDAY. Today if you come in and bring me the address of the charity that you care about most, I will send them a check at the end of the day for 15% of whatever you buy in your name.

I ran out of Planet sweaters so I bought lots of them and they have arrived. I have the boatneck pleated one and also the new horseshoe in lots of colors. The architectural skirt and short asymmetrical jacket is also here again in black and navy. With the skirt or jeans, it looks fantastic!

It is official, we are moving downtown to City Center two blocks from the store. I am guaranteed to be late every single day! But now I can stay late and still be home in time for dinner. It will not be ready until next December but I know the time will go fast. If any of you have a really good real estate agent we are going to interview as many agents as possible because our house in Bethesda is very contemporary. It seems in DC most people want a more traditional home so we need a really good person. Send your suggestions.

We saw Lincoln. It is very very good. Daniel Day Lewis is amazing as he always is. Having said that, and I am seemingly the ONLY PERSON IN THE WORLD who thinks this, but I admit to looking at my watch twice and silently begging the congress to abolish slavery so I could go home. Ok, I said it. I thought it was a little long. Argo gets my vote for the better of the two. Don’t tell Steven Spielberg I said this. Everyone should see it because it is what I think a very authentic portrayal of Lincoln and it is filmed so beautifully. And everyone else loved it. Or they said they did.

I am open this Saturday from 12-5.

Hope to see you today so we can give lots of money to charity. How fun will that be?
