Planet is OPEN and I invite you all to come down and see it. For the first time we have the entire line available and you will be amazed at how many styles of sweaters, matte jersey, nylon, and tees Planet has, compared to what I used to be able to stock. I have already run out of items and have had to reorder, so come see what all the excitement is about.
WE ARE OPEN THIS SATURDAY as we have changed the weekend for this year to the second Saturday of the month. And yes, it is because I have had to go to Chicago to see that little baby twice already and his first birthday is the first of June. Eight months already, do you believe it?
The great thing about this email is that not only can I let you know about all the great things that are coming into the store BUT I can also tell you about personal things. So here you go: our house in Bethesda is going on the market on Friday so if you know anyone that is looking in the Whitman High School district or wants to live inside the beltway, the house will be in the MLS (is that what they call it?) on Friday.
I loved loved loved the JEEP farmer’s ad during the Super Bowl. I did not like that the Ravens won because I am from Cleveland, and that was our team. I also loved the bravery Audi ad although that kid was so cute it was a stretch to think he would not have a date to prom. Even though it was so yucky, I liked the Go Daddy ad with the gorgeous ex girlfriend of Leonard Decaprio and “Walter.” I mention Leo because now I will get about five THOUSAND hits to my website as it will link up with him. I know this because when I emailed you all about the fancy wedding that I went to with Kristin Stewart and Robert Pattinson, that did happen and now I will get ANOTHER five thousand hits for mentioning them AGAIN! Who knew? My favorite tweet of the night, sent to me by Elaine Mensah, was: Ray Lewis did not cause the blackout, but he was there when it happened. For you football fans you know what I am talking about. If you do not, ask your husband, sons or significant other. They know.
I am starting to get all of the bracelets that I ordered when I was at the Accessory Show last month and they are terrific. Rubber and metal and double wraps which is all the rage. I have gotten in all of the Ray for spring and as usual it is quite gorgeous. This week his white long cotton shirts and jackets have come in and there is one in black as well. The Matt and Nat handbags have arrived in deep blues, yellow, greens and beiges. I bought a few black ones but for spring I think it is a bigger statement to use a color.
Do not forget that Mariam HEYDARI will be in the store next Thursday, February 14th. For those of you who go to her stores this is a chance to actually meet her and she has fabulous things. Please mark your calendars. It is Valentine’s Day and it is a total treat to meet her. She is a really really nice lady.
