Fabulous clothes and jewelry at Upstairs on 7th!

I am writing this at home because even though I am from Cleveland and snow is nothing to fear there, I believed the weatherman and did not open the stores today. WHAT WAS I THINKING?? After almost ten years here I should know better than to think this “eight inches to a foot” really means: no snow whatsoever! I do not even have snow on my grass! I guess I do not have to worry about having the driveway cleared tomorrow morning so we can get out because it is very easy to get out of our garage AFTER IT RAINS!!! Was it bad in Virginia? In DC? Because here in Maryland, it really was just a tiny bit of snow and all rain. Ok, so I had a day off to work on the website so not all was lost. Memo to all of you: next time there is a storm, Upstairs on 7th and Planet WILL BE OPEN. I am not falling for this again!

Never, in all the years I have been open, have I had more clothes, jewelry and accessories. Sometimes I say I have over bought, but really this time I have. So lucky you because there is so much to see and choose from. Fabulous bracelets and necklaces came in this week in crystal and leather and rubber from many new vendors. Lots of great earrings in silver, rose and gold have arrived too. Remember that bar bracelet I had years ago that was about $285? Now I have the copy for $70! They came in yesterday and I already sold three! Porto should be in tomorrow, as I think it actually arrived today but you know, I was HOME! Kokomarina arrived with lots of black and white stripe jersey dresses and vests, and Blanque’s bell pants in black or white came in too. The Kedem is gorgeous and if you want some of those pieces you should come in soon because they really have almost sold out already. Peter O Mahler has come in and there are some interesting jackets in really nice fabrics. I only have one Anett Rostel dress left, that is how beautiful they were. Banana Blue from Australia has come in and their flax tops are the best. Matti Mamane will be here this week and if you missed the holey sweaters from Transparente there are a few more coming in yellow or red. Who knows, they may have been delivered today.

If you want some of the beautiful linen Planet camp shirts they are in the Planet store right now. We have one in water, their new blue color that is really beautiful, and one in that light crazy green I used to wear when I was blond. Oh, I miss those days. We also got in the new modern trench in the new nylon color that looks like fudge. It is beautiful and new for fall. The advantage to having one of their stores is that we see everything early. So fun.

WE SOLD OUR HOUSE! That is the good news. The bad news is that we have to move by the middle of April and I have to pack up our house in order to do that. A lovely young family bought it and I know they will be really happy here. Oh, and we are homeless because our condo will not be ready until December! So if anyone knows of an apartment to rent, let me know.

Friday, MARCH 15th is the KEDEM SASSON TRUNK SHOW! Andy is also bringing Banana Blue and a new line from Israel, Karen Klein which I have not seen yet so it should be a lot of fun. Hope you will all be able to come.

Upstairs on 7th and Planet WILL BE OPEN THIS SATURDAY from 12-5. I hope to see lots of you as it is so much fun when we all get together!
