Tomorrow from 11-7 and Friday from 11-4 Ray Harris and Sissy Yates and all their gorgeous clothes and jewelry will be at Upstairs on 7th! Let’s all wear our Ray Harris clothes and Sissy Yates jewelry as I am sure they would both get a kick out of seeing us all attired in their collections from the past. Especially because they are still so stylish! Even if it is just a scarf or a bracelet it would be so fun.
Ray’s collection looks really good. There are two new fabrics: jersey that will take you to the office and out to dinner and some beautiful tops and coats in taupe and black with a touch of sequins and knit collars that look like fur even though they aren’t. They are so soft that you will love wearing them. He also did a group of chiffon plaid that is just sensational. Some are mixed with his crinkle fabric and some are not. Just the scarf alone is worth having. He has some new dresses and a turtleneck top in crinkle that are really fabulous and would mix with pieces you already have. Remember if you have a special occasion coming up and want a custom made dress, come to see Ray on either day and he will measure you, do whatever collar, length sleeve and hem you want, and you can order it in any of the many colors he makes.
Sissy has done some really gorgeous show stopping pieces that will be beautiful with anything. Just drop dead stunning. She also has a ton of fabulous earrings in every stone possible. And great pendants that would go with jeans or to work.
Now you might be asking yourself: how does she know all this since the show doesn’t start until tomorrow? THEY ALREADY SENT THE CLOTHES AND JEWELRY HERE!!! SOOOOOO if you absolutely cannot come Thursday or Friday, come today!!
I am going to have champagne tomorrow and some little bites of food later in the day so stop by as Ray has come a very very long way and Sissy does have to fight the traffic to get here. On some days that is seemingly longer than the flight from London!
Next Thursday and Friday Lauren Grossman, the owner and designer of Planet will be in the Planet store and so will a lot of the fall collection so don’t miss that event!
And the Thursday after that, May 16th, Annemieke will be here from Amsterdam with her new collection of latex jewelry so I am really excited to see that! Love those pieces!
