Upstairs on 7th AND Planet at U7 are both open this Saturday from 12-5 so if you have not had a chance to come lately, this would be a good day to shop. There are lots of things on sale at Upstairs on 7th and the dupioni silk long tops in silver, black and white came in again to Planet as we can hardly keep them in stock.
On Wednesday, August 7th and Thursday, August 8th, Leslie from Planet will be back with us and she is bringing a ton of new styles that you are sure to want. We always have so much fun with her so put this on your calendar. On the 7th her train gets in at noon so she will be here very soon after and she will be here until at least 7. On the 8th she will be here until about five when I have to get her to Reagan for her flight home. If you have bought something you want her to help you style, bring it in as no one knows the line as well as she does. She has not seen the new store yet so I am very excited for her to see it as believe me, she helped build the Planet business here. So maybe she DOES call me everyday to order things!!
September is right around the corner and already the shows are lining up. So far we have Annemieke coming with her new latex creations on September 20th and on the 25th we have Jet Mous coming from Amsterdam. She is the artist that makes the necklaces that look like dancing balls. She has lots of other styles so you will not want to miss that show. Stay tuned for more shows to get scheduled.
We finally had some time to go to the movies and believe it or not, the Heat is really really funny. My husband even laughed. And you have to see the Way, Way Back. It is funny and a little sad, and very touching. Great cast. It is from the people that made Juno so you know it has to be good. I think you will all enjoy it immensely.
The SALE is on and if you need a little something to round out the summer, now is the time while there are still sizes and styles to choose from. Especially pieces from Lilith and Ray Harris that are a little pricey. Always good to be able to get them for a deal.
And now for the most important news of the day: SHOCKINGLY, my guy GEORGE AND STACY KIEBLER HAVE BROKEN UP. AFTER TWO YEARS. What have I been telling everyone? George is only good for two years and then he makes them believe what he has been saying FOREVER and that is that he is NOT getting married. How many interviews does he have to give? How many times does he have to say it? How many times have I suggested that if you want to date George, get a watch that starts at 2 years and watch it tick down? Since I do not want to get married again and since I for sure do not want to have more children, I suggested to my husband that I could be the PERFECT PERSON for George IF ONLY HE KNEW ME! And of course, if only I were young and gorgeous. But isn’t that just a technicality? Boating in Italy, vacations to Cabo, Valentino dresses to award shows. Ah, that seems like the life. GEORGE: I AM HERE!!!
