It feels like spring!

Transparente sweater

I know it is cold and a bit rainy but with the new Transparente red and white sweaters, their new black and gray striped tops and all the new Planet in the most beautiful spring colors of light blue, white, graphite, pistachio and red, it feels like spring here today! Sophie Finzi arrived today so I cannot wait to open up the box. I know there are green and white sweaters and red and white ones too as well as some navy pieces, tops and pants. Ivan Grundahl is going to be back this spring and will be here this week too.

Comfy should be here by Friday as it is shipping out today. There is some Sun Kim as well so if you want to email me to make sure it got here, feel free. I know how you all love it. I bought more last week in New York so we are covered on that front! I’m expecting the Heydari today and Ray Harris is shipping soon too so little by little every day we are getting all the new fabulous things for spring. I have to say that this is a great season coming up. The designers I think felt better about business and it was easier to pick out great things for us all.

Everything from fall is 40% off and there are some beautiful coats and a few great pieces from Rundholz, not to mention the plaid coat that is really for spring from Kedem. Tops from Niche are great for the spring and there are a few Matt and Nat bags available as well as well as bits and pieces from every line we carry. Will someone PLEASE buy that Dress to Kill blouse already!!!!

I have some jewelry on sale at 20% but also a few pieces left at 50% too.

I am open this Saturday from 12-5 so come and we can have a shopping party!

Thanks to everyone who came to the Planet show. It was fabulous because Leslie is so much fun and knows the line so well and the line is the best one Lauren has ever made. It is fantastic. The new striped boatneck rib sweater in the light tissue linen is particularly beautiful. All the styles that we sold out of will be back in the store at the end of the week so if you did not get to come, don’t worry. If you want to go online and see the whole line go to planetonlineclothing.com and click on 2014 collection.

Around town: NARAL’s 45th anniversary gala is February 4th if anyone wants to go and has not gotten an invitation. Also, Amy Henderson is going to be interviewing Robert Osborne, the legendary host of TCM followed by a screening of Flying Down to Rio at the Portrait Gallery on Wednesday, March 12th. For $50 dollars, ($45 early special) you can go to a private reception and meet Robert Osborne. Amy is a fabulous interviewer so if you are interested go to http://purchase.tickets.com/buy/TicketPurchase?pid=7633768&agency=TDC&campid=TDC_NEW_WWW_2013 and you can order them today.

Lastly, the Golden Globes dresses. I thought there were more good dresses than bad and my absolute favorite was Cate Blanchette’s. She looked perfect. The dress, the hair, just out of this world gorgeous. The red dress worn by Lupita Nyong was beautiful too although it looked a lot like the white dress Gwyneth Paltrow wore last year. My least favorite was that bustier and floral dress worn by someone that I do not know but you could say that about half the people there as they are on shows I have never even heard of. And WHY WHY WHY did Julia Roberts put a white ugly shirt under her strapless black dress? What was that about? The ruffle that was on that white dress Paula Patton (also don’t know who she is) wore was the biggest ruffle in the history of ruffles. I didn’t get it. Oh, Margot Robbie looked stunning too.
