This is going to be a fashion weekend for sure!
On Friday we will have the Kedem Sasson Trunk Show with all of his fabulous creations for fall. ( Even though we are not finished with this one it seems!) The line is really really good this coming season and I am really excited for you all to see it. His coats and dresses are his usual great pieces but it is his pants that I am really loving. He did some with patch pockets on them and patches seem to be a big idea for fall because Ivan Grundahl did them also. They are more interesting and very sophisticated when the patches are the same color as well. Andy will be here and ready to go by 11:30 so I hope all of you Kedem fans will be here.
On Sunday we welcome two of our favorite people who also happen to be great designers. Ray Harris will be here from London and a little closer to home, our favorite jewelry designer Sissy Yates will be here with her new spring designs, the perfect accessory for Ray’s clothes.
Ray is bringing a whole group of washable crepe that will be wonderful for work and he can switch out necklines, sleeves, and lengths. They will come in a number of colors too so you will love having these pieces for work. If you need a special dress then you will want Ray to make you one. PLUS there will be lots to purchase for our instant gratification! Ray will ALSO BE HERE on Monday and Tuesday if you are not able to join us on Sunday!
I asked Sissy to bring us some of her designs that we have not seen or had in the store before and that we can wear for everyday. I always love when we have her pieces here as it adds that pop of color that we can always use. And she is bringing her wonderful stackable bracelets too. And of course, it is always great to have the artist help us.
Lots of spring lines are here now: Rundholz, Niche, Comfy, Lunn, Dress to Kill, Ivan Grundahl, Sophie Finzi, Avivit Yizhar, Ray Harris, Porto, Matt and Nat, and of course there is the Planet store!
It is the second Saturday of the month so we will be open this week and of course we are here this Sunday.
May I suggest if you drive down and cannot find a parking space that you park in our building’s garage as it is only 10 dollars for the whole day on the weekends and of course it’s so convenient. It is located on the 11th Street side.
Just a little pizza guy Oscar update. Edgar, that’s his name, is from Russia and he and his brother worked at the pizza restaurant and worked so hard they bought it. He was told that he was delivering pizzas for some writers. Ellen came back stage and asked him if the pizza was hot and he said it was and she said to wait and she would get him. She then got him and just told him to follow her and all of sudden he found himself on stage! He had no idea. When he gave Julia Roberts a piece of pizza he couldn’t believe it because he had a mad crush on her from when he was a young boy in Russia! Ellen gave him a nice big 1000 dollar tip!
I love that!!
See you this weekend.
