Power Grids!

Yesterday the power went out in our building which gave me the perfect opening for this email and title.  BUT THEN, right after Arnold and Porter and the building shut down, the electricity went back ON and so I had no introductory little story OR title.  So I wrote this instead and now I have an introduction and a title.  See how this works?
THEN I was going to write a whole thing about the power of being classy and using Coach K from Duke as my example but see, now it’s not a good segue.  But now that I told you what I was going to do it is. So here is what I wrote:
Another form of power is the power that Coach K of Duke possesses. It is not that he keeps winning but that he is so completely classy that you don’t mind as much, even when you are rooting for the Badgers or any other school Duke is playing. Usually I am rooting for them but Kenny, my son and my step son Adam went to Wisconsin. (Now we have four little badger grandchildren although Dylan keeps saying she is only going to go there if she doesn’t get into Stanford. How does a four year old even know about Stanford?) Kenny was there for the game against Kentucky and the Championship game so talk about your highs and lows. It seems in sports that when you have to play your absolute best best best to get to the next level, in this case Kentucky for Wisconsin, winning that next one becomes a little too tough.  But leave it to Coach K to answer the first question put to him which was ‘how did you do it again” with: “first let me say what an amazing team Wisconsin is.”  I know for fact that he does visits for Make a Wish all the time and afterwards literally keeps in touch with each kid he does it with.  My cousin’s son was one of those kids and thankfully did not die, but to this day, and it has been a long time, they keep in touch.  THAT IS REAL POWER. Ok, I am stepping down from my little soapbox.
I keep forgetting to tell you that I found beautiful WATERPROOF raincoats from Clemente for fall.  No more yellow slickers being the only game in town.  In fact, all the coats for fall are absolutely gorgeous.  The best part of the market.
Don’t forget that the Planet fall trunk show is Thursday, April 30th and Friday, May 1st. Leslie will be here unless she gets run over again, God forbid.  We will have a look at fall and may I remind you that there are so many fabulous pieces from Planet for summer here already?  Waiting for you!
We have Comfy leggings in lots of sizes and styles in black and white. The seersucker pieces from Niche are here and you can mix them with the black and white pieces I bought from them also. There are lots of styles and of course the prices are so good.  Or maybe you have a pair or two of black and white pants to mix these pieces with in your closet already.  Just maybe.

I have a few pairs of sandals from Rundholz left as well as the tennis shoes.  Especially in size 40 if you still want a pair.

I am getting a few pairs of navy shoes in as well in about a week. Here is a picture of them.

If you have not done any spring shopping now would be the time. There are lots of sizes left in every collection and we also have the best day and evening dresses we have ever had!
Just a reminder to come to DreamScape to support CItyDance. Go to their site at www.citydance.net and go to the Donate Now button and the program and after party will pop up.  It is going to be a great night!
Don’t forget we are open on Saturdays from 12-5.
Hope to see you soon,
Ricki
