It’s November: Welcome to Spring

Seventy five degrees on Friday, really?  Break out the summer clothes! Don’t the weather gods know I have great coats to sell?  Obviously not.  I changed my closet over to my fall and winter clothes so I have no clue what to wear other than my Sun Kim every day.  Thank goodness they are all year round.
It is not too late to RSVP to the Cuban art event on Thursday night.  We start serving dinner at 5:30 and we will close when the last person leaves. I cannot wait to see the art as it looks fantastic and the prices are very very reasonable.  There are some small pieces to purchase also.  If you think you might get a piece, I would appreciate you bringing a check with you as this way you will get the tax benefit as well as being able to pay the charity directly.  Please RSVP if you think you are going to come.  Lots of people are so it will be really fun.
The small works of two Cuban artists, Reinaldo Camejo de las Casas and Alberto Borroto, will be for sale.
Reinaldo Camejo de las Casas lives in Havana Cuba with his wife and two children.  He was born in1952 and has exhibited in solo and group shows in Havana.  His paintings are included in private collections in the United States, Mexico, Spain, Peru, Canada, Italy, Argentina, Chile, and France.

Cuban artist Alberto Borroto Infante makes these instruments from found objects.

The pieces that came from Sun Kim are almost gone so if you want a great polka dot skirt or jacket, pant or vest, come in before they are completely sold.
U7 TOO has all of our great dresses so if you need one for work or play or to dress up you will have a great selection.
For those of you who have seen or bought the two way cardigan from Planet, we are getting some more of it in the black and white stripe which is new for spring but they are shipping it already.  It looks great with jeans or pants.  I don’t have a picture of the stripe but think thin black stripes.
We went to Momofuku for dinner last week and it was very good.  Would I wait in line to eat there, no, but it was very good.  (Same reason we have not been to Rose’s Luxury.) We tasted just about everything on the menu as we were with good friends and while it is not hot (as in temperature, not spicy) it tasted very good.  I loved the rotisserie chicken and the ramen noodles was very good.  The desserts are from Milk Bar and we loved the crack pie and the ice cream twist.  If you are around at 9 at night or even a little later after a movie or a game, you can pretty much get in.  If you walk in you can put your name in and go have a drink somewhere else until your table is ready.  The service was fantastic.  And you know I do love being waited on!
Usually the week after Halloween I post a picture of Katy’s tiny dogs but while they went as butterflies those girls were not posing this time. However, Katy sent me one of the best costumes ever.  So here it is! Two little girls in where else, Beverly Hills.
Hope to see you soon!
