Surprise visit from ANNEMIEKE this WEDNESDAY!!

Annemieke is in New York and when I called her to order some pieces that we are sold out of she asked if we wanted her to come to the store on Wednesday!  What a question.  OF COURSE WE DO!  She is bringing lots of pieces including her new fall collection.  She has lots of new colors too. I can hear you rearranging your schedules as we speak. She will be here at 11 through closing, around 6:30 so if you want to come over after work feel free to do so.  I am so excited, I love when she is here!

We have some great light weight sweaters in black and white from lots of our designers.  Here is one of our favorites from Planet. They are perfect for the movies and the restaurants who keep the temps so low you would think it was winter instead of summer.

Shout out to Laura Olle for taking me to see the cast of Scandal on Thursday night.  We got to watch the episode and then they all came out and told us lots of interesting things.  Kerry Washington is so gorgeous you really cannot take your eyes off of her.  And her dress was spectacular.  I only got one pic before my phone died and it is really bad and as you all know that is really saying something. Here it is below but go online and google “Kerry Washington Scandal panel.” There are lots of pictures but really none as pretty as she is in real life. And best of all she is hysterical.  They all tease each other as if they were brothers and sisters.  Shonda Rhimes was there too as well as the casting director for all her shows.  I bet those two were swamped afterward by young actors in the audience.  It is very fun to watch an episode with other people with no commercials I must say. My favorite line was “I get it, you’re a special snowflake!”  How funny is that?  I have to remember that for future use.

I got a great picture from Stephanie Gilmore of Tampa, Florida with Secretary Castro wearing her Comfy jacket from here. She is the nicest lady and got to be his host at a luncheon. She might be standing with the next Vice-President of the United States if the rumors are to be believed.  Do you believe Trump could win?  I think the earth may have fallen off its axis.

Anyone have any good sightings over the weekend from the White House Correspondents Dinner on Saturday?  Send them along. I really need to be someone’s plus one just once in my life at this event. People it is on my bucket list.  Make it happen!  Actually I know someone who is in charge of it but they can’t give out tickets although I do nag her unmercifully.  You know me.

I FINALLY saw the exhibit at the Renwick.  It is AMAZING and if you have not gone, go this week as it is ending very soon. Here is a piece made of index cards.  This artist has a LOT of patience.  It is awesome.

KATY IS HERE!! Come in and meet her.  She is already helping me get more organized and I never have to do the mannequins again. I cannot tell you how happy that makes me. And she doesn’t like the way I check in the merchandise.  Fine by me.  Mark me thrilled!  And by the way, it is nice to have your grown up daughter around everyday. Loved this girl the instant I laid eyes on her.  Ok, so now I am making myself cry.
