Happy July and welcome to FALL!

Welcome to your afternoon break.
Hope everyone had a great 4th of July.  We could HEAR the fireworks but couldn’t see them due to the fog from the rain. They did sound great although they didn’t last as long as last year or so it seemed. And of course it is gorgeous although so hot out today. Maybe next year.
Celebrating America’s birthday in the fashion world only means one thing: time for fall clothes! We have two collections in already. We actually already had Planet’s french terry cloth collection and it was so successful that the reorder came in today.  Here are pictures of the pieces that come in mud, pavement gray, and of course the much maligned but very worn, black.  The pants and the skirts come in sizes 1, 2 and 3 and they run very small so most people are going up a size.  Keep in mind that the more you wash terry cloth, the softer it gets.  These pieces are so fashionable and they remind me of the sweats that Norma Kamali did all those years ago, 1982 to be exact. Or as I like to call it: yesterday.
This is a top that makes everyone look tiny.  It is good with the skirt, pant or leggings and great with a tee underneath or not.  But maybe not with red gloves.  Just saying. It is shown with faux leather pants that are coming in soon.
This pant has sold out two times already, that is how nice it looks on. In front it is pleated on the bottom.  This top with the open back looks good with the opening in the front too. How nice is this outfit? Shout out to my fashion mentor Goldie: this is the outfit I was talking about.  Isn’t it so you?
This top is called the hi/low top as it is short in front and longer in the back.  Notice the pleating on the bottom of the pant.
Here is the blouson top with the skirt.  The skirt comes in size 1, 2, and 3.  I love this skirt
This is the cocoon coat that can go over everything if you are so inclined.  It is shown over the dress which looks great on. We have already sold out of the dress and just got more in.
These pictures show the real color of these pieces.  They are all lightweight although they don’t look like they are. They are shown with the tight fitting knit sleeveless top that Planet makes in all the colors to go under clothes that are shorter in front.  And except for our rep Leslie, no one looks good in it by itself so everyone uses this as an “underpinning.”  Don’t you love that word?  I wonder who came up with this word.
Also in is Anarkh for all you fans. It is still in the box so no pix yet but there is a blue and black tweed coat on top that looks fabulous. Perfect for three seasons.  It has the big snaps that Ana always uses that I love.
We have lots of pieces on sale including Rundholz, Heydari, NY 77, Alembika,  Ray Harris (embossed gray skirt and pant) Niche, Dress to Kill, Clemente and a bunch of black and white handbags as well as about 50 pieces of jewelry from various designers and scarves. These accessories would make wonderful gifts at their sale price especially.  It’s never too early to do holiday shopping because then you don’t have to do it at holiday time.  All that you will have to do is pick up the Honeybaked ham!
We have lots of Annemieke necklaces even though a lot of you came over to get them when they came in.  Here are a few:
Don’t forget we have these fabulous backpacks in black, blue and red for only $155.  They are lightweight too.
For those of you who do not get the NYTimes I brought in the tribute to Bill Cunningham.  He was one remarkable man who you can truly say was a one of a kind person never to be replaced. RIP
Have a great week.  Come over and see us.  Open Saturday from 12-5.
