What a weekend and other world news!

Well DC we made it through another Inauguration and a huge March! For those of us who live here hats off to our Mayor and the Police Department for their hard work and service.  Every one of the police I ran into walking around the city could not have been nicer or more helpful. And the clean up was so quick.  You rocked it DC!
Thanks so much to all of the 200 women that came by the store on Saturday as we had so much fun. Here are some pictures of people that came from all over the country to stand together for human rights.  If you could not march for whatever reason, don’t worry, we marched for you.
Don’t you love my wage gap tee and Katy’s science one?  We got them at Outrage on 18th Street.
The amazing Vilmain girls and mom Ruth!

Here are some of my favorite signs:
And speaking of our President’s beautiful wife, I loved her clothes.  I think she looked elegant and I could not help but feel a little sorry for her because I don’t think the President is very nice to her. This picture sums it up a little bit.
He just sort of left her on her own.  Sad.
The Obamas helicopter flew so low over our condo that I could actually see them and I was so shocked I forgot to take a picture.  But then I got a little teary.
We ended the weekend over brunch at Restaurant Nora and so many of you came.  It was delicious as always and a great way to end the weekend with friends old and new.  DON”T LEAVE US NORA!!
Having shown all this I still say I HOPE he does a good job for all our sakes.  But we do have to get involved and call and write our Senators and Congressmen and women and let them know what we think about the issues at hand.  I know in DC we don’t have representation but we can still let the people in the Congress know how we feel.  It is a little amazing that we don’t have reps when we have over 600,000 people living here. Just saying!
We got in more gorgeous Ray Harris today. His crush cotton dresses and jackets.  I just love his clothes. Don’t forget he will be here on March 2nd through the 4th.
At the end of the week we have to send back the special pieces we got from Dress to Kill so try and come in to see them.  We also got more spring designs from them as well. The Planet dress that everyone loves came in and I ordered extra so if you didn’t let me know you wanted one you can still have one.
This tee shirt did really well at the show also so we got a few more.  I love it.
I got word that Rundholz will be here the first week in February for those of you waiting patiently and Ivan Grundahl will be here this week as well.  I cannot wait for that black and white dress!
The SALE is still on and everything is 40% off so come in while we still have your sizes left.
Don’t wait to come in for Comfy, Jason and Sun Kim.  We have lots of beautiful tops and their great pants but you know that all goes out the door quickly.  We have the short sleeve tees in black or white and the tanks in black, white or gray.  They are only $45.
Also, for great summer jewelry that you can pull apart and do so much with we have all the handprinted Jianhui pieces.
And I LOVE LOVE LOVE these necklaces from Maria Calderara as they look like candy. I got the blue with white elastics.
Once again, thanks for stopping by on Saturday and we hope to see you this week!
