Are we going to have shenanigans going on every weekend in this country because really, Sunday is my day off and I need rest! What happened to Presidents getting tired and needing the weekend off to get their energy back? What happened to pick up basketball and golf? Or maybe just reading up on the week ahead quietly in the Lincoln Bedroom where surely inspiration must flow. I mean, this cannot go on every weekend can it? Or maybe he is trying to just exhaust us all. Why can’t this President work 132 days like the House of Representatives? And no tweeting on those off days either because then that starts a whole new news cycle. And after the weekend, we had last night too! Coming to work today seemed like a vacation. Wow is all I can say. When you think about it, the last ten days have been breathtaking! I will now admit something I never thought I would say: I really really miss George Bush. Truly I do. I am now longing for those golden days. Is that what they meant by making America great again?
In other news we got in a beautiful linen bright red sweater from Ivan Grundahl and several of his knit dresses. This season is the last one he designed so anything you get from him will be a collector’s item. It will be interesting to see what the new designer does with the line. I will report back.
Rundholz will be here Wednesday or Thursday so if you are in love with that line like we are, feel free to email me to see if it is here if you want to come over and see it the minute it comes in.
The pieces we got from Ray Harris are here and they are so beautiful. We got this top that everyone loves in turquoise shown below and red, white, black, ecru and silver. It is especially good with any of Ray’s skirts and with jeans. We got a bunch because his pleater is thinking of retiring and in order to pleat this material in this way it takes a certain machine that Ray will not have access to once he goes. We did not want to be left empty handed. There are several more on special order and they are coming very soon.
We got a catalog today that Ray did with Annemieke so here are a few of the pictures. There are probably twenty necklaces on these women at once but it looks so fabulous. As Ray often says: “more is more, but is it enough?”
Aren’t these gorgeous pictures? Ray Harris and Annemieke: a perfect combination. Don’t forget Ray will be here on March 2nd through the 4th. Annemieke is coming here in May but not certain of the dates yet.
We are starting to run out of the Heydari tops and dresses and they are fabulous, so come in before they are all gone. You know I hate to reorder so once they are gone that is it!
We got in more pieces from Dress to Kill for spring. Her incredible pants and a few shirts and jumpers. And of course we are getting Planet in on a daily basis.
This Planet jacket comes in white, navy, mud, black and khaki.
Our sale is on and there are still good items to have from all your favorite designers. Everything is 40% off. We have lots of gloves and hats and scarves too for the cold days ahead. All at discounted prices.
Don’t forget we are open on Saturdays and you can enter the building through Au bon Pain or on our E Street side.
I almost forgot. Did you see the SAG Awards Sunday night? I forgot to take pictures so google the SAG awards and you will see all the fashion. Here were my favorites: Claire Foy of the Crown was my all time and then I loved Taraji Henson, Michelle Dockery and Michelle Williams who both wore stripes that looked great, Kate Hudson who I usually don’t like but I did this time probably because it was Dior, Janelle Monae in Chanel, gorgeous, and the little girl from Stranger Things who had Armani make her a little red dress. My least favorite were Julie Bowen, omg what a mess, Emily Blunt who looked about 80, and again, and I say this with surprise, Nicole Kidman. I have to say I think Nashville may have gotten to her. I cannot even describe what she was wearing so maybe you can explain it to me! Although a lot of people liked it. Best speech of the night was Julia Louis Dreyfus. Go on youtube to hear it. Very good and very funny. She is awesome.
Have a great week! Hope to see you soon!
