All the news from Upstairs on 7th!

Mark your calendars! I am thrilled to tell you that Julia Whiston, the Executive Director of the White House Correspondent’s Association, is our next guest at Off the Rack: Conversations at Upstairs on 7th on Wednesday, May 10th from 6-8. She is the loveliest woman and has been with the WH Correspondent’s Association since 1993.  I cannot wait to have you meet her and hear all about her years leading this very important group of journalists. Please RSVP.

Isn’t Moyuru pretty?  I love this line.  Don’t wait too long to come and see it because we have been selling a lot of it.  They are wonderful easy to care for pieces with that little bit of Japanese twist to them. Subtle but unmistakeable.
These strings of elastic and beads by Maria Caldarara go so well with these clothes and come in all these colors. Either as a bracelet or a necklace they are the best pop of color.  To go with all that black we all keep buying.

We got in all the Epice scarves this week.  And we are now carrying their bags that are perfect for the beach or for going to the fresh markets on the weekends. I love them!

 Good, right?
Here are some of the beautiful scarves we got in:
This scarf comes in all these colors:
This scarf comes in other colors too.
These are really fun.  Perfect. Summer. Scarf.
Mark your calendars for next Saturday, April 8th, when we will have the entire spring collection of New Form Perspective in the store with their very fun rep
Daniela.  She is a fabulous stylist so you will love meeting her or for those of you who came to the show last time, to see her again.  The weight of these sweaters is so good.  We have our stock in the store right now so you don’t have to wait another minute to own one.

We got the last bit of Rundholz in today: a little no collar cotton shrug with the little dragonfly on the back.
Once again thank you all for coming out for DC Central Kitchen.  It was a great event.  We are planning an Upstairs on 7th volunteer night at the Kitchen this summer so if you are interested in doing that let me know and I will get a date, either in July or August.  They fill up fast so we have to plan ahead.  Katy and I did it on her birthday (that’s what she wanted!) and we cut onions for three hours. It was so much fun! We laughed and of course the onions made us cry.
This just in: there is a Thierry Rabotin trunk show at the Comfort One Shoe store on 1630 Connecticut Avenue NW or as I call it “the good Comfort One” this Friday, March 31st from 3-8.  Just ask for Ruth.
Have a great week everyone and come see us for all the beautiful spring clothes and accessories.
Ricki and Katy
