TONS OF COMFY AND SUN KIM ARE HERE!!

A TON of Comfy and Sun Kim came in JUST NOW!  And it is fabulous.  You know it goes very fast so stop reading, take an early lunch and come over!! For those of you who are big fans of the little nylon vest with wire at the collar we have it in polka dot this time!! And we got the fabulous skirt that you all love and 25 other styles. Too many to tell you about right this minute as it will take us all day to put it away there is so much!

We are going to have a MONIES trunk show next week so if any of you are fans you will be able to see 100 great pieces.  They will be here on Wednesday May 10th through Saturday May 13th.

Did any of you watch the White House Correspondents’ dinner on Saturday? If you go on youtube you can see Hasan Monhaj give the comedic speech. Depending on what side you are on it is fabulous or not.  Having Julia Whiston in the store on May 10th as our next guest for our series Off the Rack: Conversations at Upstairs on 7th is very opportune.  We have four seats left in case you want to bring a friend or you want to come yourself.  It starts at 6 for dinner and the conversation is at 7 conducted by Amy Henderson, Historian Emerita of the National Portrait Gallery. Let me know ASAP as I have to order the dinner.  Last time we had 21 cancellations on the day of the event.  If you know that you can’t come will you let me know ahead of time so I don’t over buy the dinner? I really appreciate it.

We have room for 12 more people at the Restaurant Nora event on June 15th. With tax and tip the dinner will be 88 dollars.  The cash bar prices are 5-6 dollars for ice tea and sodas and here are the rest of the prices for drinks so you can plan accordingly.

House Wine by the glass – $14
Cocktails – $20
Beers – $12 – $14

Caesar salad (Nora’s Caesar always gets rave reviews)
Artichoke goat cheese tart
Amish chicken breast
Salmon
Rack of lamb
Multigrain Risotto (vegetarian option)
Tiramisu
Rhubarb pie

We had two customers in the news this week wearing our clothes.  Attorney Barbara Corprew was in the Post for volunteering to make sure the nursing homes are doing a good job for our senior citizens and Tanya Hilton who is the Executive Director of Cultural DC.  Here is Tanya in the Ray Harris neoprene skirt and jacket with Annemieke’s pearl necklace!

Isn’t that a great picture?

Don’t forget Mother’s Day is almost here and we have lots of great gifts!

For those of you who watched the Met Gala you know what I mean when I say the clothes were so over the top but so much fun. The trench coat dress by Ralph Lauren was awesome!  Here is a link so you can see all the fashions.

Rita Ora’s was my favorite and it was Fashion Police’s favorite too.  The Jenner girls decided to go practically naked and as always the Olsen sisters looked unhappy to be there (they never smile) and their clothes were well, I don’t know what.  You tell me!

Another reminder that on Saturdays go through Au Bon Pain or the E Street side to get into the store.

Have a great day.  Enjoy the weather and come over and see us!
