Upstairs on 7th: so much news!

Hope everyone had a great 4th of July weekend. It actually feels as if summer is almost over doesn’t it? How did we get to summer so quickly?

With summer comes our bi-annual sale and we are in full swing! So many great pieces from Rundholz, Rachel Comey, Suno, Creatures of Comfort, Kedem, Planet, Comfy, Sun Kim, Jason, Samuji, Ace and Jig, and even a couple pieces of Ray Harris, Dress to Kill and Moyuru are here waiting for you! ALL the summer dresses from Anett Rostel are on sale too! There is a special group of Ray Harris that is 50% off as well.

Speaking of sales, our Great Recycle Sale is going to be fantastic! We have gotten some great pieces in and some have the tags still on them! We even got some FREQUENCE! Remember that was Rundholz’s less expensive line? Unfortunately he no longer makes it. Here are the logistics of the sale:

The sale will begin on Thursday, July 13th and end on Saturday, July 15th. If your item is purchased we will split the sale price with you. You will get your half to spend on anything you want in the store, any time you want. For example, if you bring in 5 items and you sell all 5 for $850, you get $425 and we get $425. We will keep track of everything for you.

If we don’t sell some or any of your items you can pick them up on Monday, July 19th. OR, we can donate it to a charity and get the tax forms to you. When we check the pieces in, you can let us know what you want to do about this. This is a great opportunity to get something you always wanted and we were sold out of, or an opportunity to sell an item you no longer wear or want. Also it is a great way to introduce someone to the store that has not felt they were able to afford our designer clothing and accessories. So clean your closet, bring us your items, and we will see you at the Upstairs on 7th Great Recycle Sale!

On Wednesday, July 12th Karin Tanabe, author of the The Diplomat’s Daughter, will be at the store for Off the Rack: Conversations at Upstairs on 7th. This is the perfect evening to invite a friend you have been trying to get to come to the store. Enjoy dinner starting at 6 with the conversation starting at 7. I have an advance copy and it is a really good story, a perfect book for summer reading at the beach. Karin will also sign her book that evening and the books will be available at the publisher’s price. We still have room so please RSVP as soon as you can as you know we fill up fast!

Our PLANET TRUNK SHOW with stylist Leslie Prince will be Wednesday, August 2nd and Thursday, August 3rd. There are so many great styles, you will really want to see all of them. So put the show on your calendar so you don’t miss it! Here are a few great styles below

Annemieke is coming to the store for a trunk show on Wednesday, August 16th and Thursday, August 17 with all of her beautiful new styles including this amazing shawl. You can order it from her in any colors you like and she will also have a ton of stock so put these dates on your calendar right now!!
