Full disclosure: I have a few pieces of vintage jewelry that I love. Mainly because they belonged to my beloved grandmother. Katy loves it all. I guess I have not seen THIS kind of vintage jewelry because I want it all. There are some earrings and some pins that are to die for. And if you like Chanel there are some great bracelets from them and some earrings that are really something. Some of the Art Deco pieces are seamless, and hard to see how they could be made they are so beautifully done. The necklaces look like pieces we are already wearing so they look good with our clothes. I have to say in years gone by there were some real artisans. Here are just a few of the pieces at our show opening at 11 on Friday.
Do you see those earrings placed inside the pearl necklace? I wish I had somewhere to wear them but if you are having a wedding or going to a gala get them. And then I will borrow them from you. They are spectacular! In person they are beyond sparkly and light as can be.
I love these pins. On one of Dress to Kill’s wool coats. How fabulous would that look?
In the left corner is a picture of a snake bracelet with the mouth open that is so cool.
We have the Stevie Howell robes that you wear as jackets, nightgowns that you wear as slips and the pajamas are gorgeous. They come in the most beautiful cloth bags. Ditch the sweats and go to sleep in something glam.
I love the Lafont sunglasses and have already picked out my pair.
How interesting are those glasses in the left corner? There are some leopard ones too!
As far as pricing for all three collections we did NOT mark them up to what they sell for online or in shops, as it is way above what we usually do so everything is literally at least 100 dollars less just because we can. And the jewelry even more.
The show is all set and ready to go. Ellen won’t be here until 3 on Friday but Katy and I are here and we open at 11. We will be here until 7 on Friday and we are opening at 11 on Saturday to give you some extra time to come in.
The Natalie Martin tops, skirts and dresses are due in tomorrow morning and the Comfy and Sun Kim are all here too.
And now: one more thing. A customer told me about a cream she got from Dr, Berzin that helps to make your neck look less wrinkly. Although she is much younger than me I thought I would give it a try. I do have to say that I have used it for four days now, twice a day, once in the morning and then at night and I do see a subtle difference so far. It is not inexpensive at $140 for 90 days, but if it does the trick, I am good with it. I cannot vouch for how it will be for anyone but it does seem to be helping me. Of course a good knife in a doctor’s hand would be better, or paper clips. You can just call and get it sent to you at 202-822-9591.
Hope to see you this weekend. Remember on Saturday to come in on the E Street side. If you are Ubering (is that a real word?) put in 1299 E Street NW so they don’t take you to the Warner Theater.
