MONIES TRUNK SHOW is on at Upstairs on 7th!

Who knew?  We completely forgot that we have the MONIES trunk show for the entire month of June!  There are about 150 pieces and they seem to be a little less in price than usual.  There are some great bracelets, earrings and of course necklaces in all their great materials of lucite, resin, and wood.
Here are a few pictures to tantalize you!

One last chance to see Rita Braver this Thursday.  We had a few cancellations this morning so we have room for five more people.  Dinner and the chairs have all been ordered so you can still come. We think this is going to be the best conversation yet and we have had some amazing people.  Here is all the information one last time:
We are thrilled to welcome Rita Braver, the exceptional journalist from CBS news on Thursday, June 7th from 6-8pm. From 1983 until 1993 she served as CBS New’s chief law correspondent and broke the story of spy Jonathan Pollard. She also led their coverage of the Iran-Contra affair.  She has served as CBS’s chief White House correspondent and is now the chief national correspondent for Sunday Morning on CBS. Her last piece on Nikki Haley was so interesting.  We start dinner at 6 and we start the conversation promptly at 7.
We cannot wait! Feel free to invite a guest. Just don’t forget to RSVP.
A little information on getting here by Uber.  Put in 1299 E Street NW and you will end up right in front of our door.  After 6:30 the building doors close so it is the only open entrance.
We are also hosting an amazing musical evening on Wednesday, June 13thfor A Musical Heart.  This DC based nonprofit, founded and directed by Nina Falk, a violinist and violist formerly with the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra, and now with Opera Lafayette, Folger Consort, Bethlehem Bach Festival as well as Arcovoce Chamber Ensemble, will give a short talk and answer your questions about the music they bring to hospices in the area. Along with cellist Jodi Beder they with play some pieces from Bach and a short piece by a 17th century Italian composer Marco Uccellini. We are going to contribute a percentage of our sales that evening so we hope lots of you will attend. You are certainly welcome to donate if you are unable to join us. This event is from 5:30-7:30.  Please let us know by email if you can attend and feel free to invite your friends. What a fabulous idea for a nonprofit. Isn’t it fantastic what we can do just using our own talents to help make the world

a better place?

We got in some fabulous new Jianhui necklaces today that come in turquoise or white beads, wood, and crystals.  Wear them long or short, they are fantastic! The turquoise and the white bead necklaces are very lightweight although they don’t look it.
Don’t forget those dads out there! Pick up some great gifts for them right here at U7!
Hope to see you for one or more of our events.  Thanks as always for coming to the store and supporting our efforts.
