July is here and that means one thing: fall is here at Upstairs on 7th!

Fall is starting to come in and we can’t wait for you to see it!
Leslie, from Planet, is coming back to the store on Thursday, August 23rd and Friday August 24th with the rest of the fall line from Planet. If you missed the last show don’t worry because you will get to see it then. There is one thing you may have missed so I asked for a favor from them: they are not going to make any more of the french terry cloth coats in black or midnight. However, if you want one they will make them just for us right now.  I know some of you already own it but for those of you who don’t, and may want it, you can come in and see it for yourself as we have a sample here. Let us know before we are unable to get them. See picture below.
I think this is the perfect coat for the fall so I am surprised they are not making it. It is the same as the scuba coat so I think they wanted to concentrate on just one.  The scuba looks the same except of course for the fabric which is heavier and a little dressier.  We have sold out of these coats in both fabrics because it is really a great style.  It is one size fits all for the terry one so if you do want one, let me know and I will order you one.  It is $280.00 and again it comes in midnight and black.
It is Christmas in July at Upstairs on 7th and our entire stock of giftware is 50% off.  All the stationery, all the notepads, the handmade cases, candles, and pins. Anything on our giftware table at the front of the store. We have to make room for all the new gifts on their way to us. And yes, we are already talking the holidays!
Our spring/summer clothing and accessories are all 40-80% off and all of our jewelry is 30% off with the exception of Annemieke’s necklaces, our little Nach earrings and the new Angela Caputi.  Now is the time to shop for gifts for this holiday season.
I have sent out all the donation slips for our recycle sale.  If we missed you please email us and we will get it right out to you.  Again, thanks for participating.
Dress to Kill is here and once again we have the fabulous folded dress:
This is actually navy but you know our lighting is not great!  We are getting more of these in different fabrics this week. It is a wonderful dress to put jewelry on.  And for that we have these great new styles from Angela Caputi:
Our Ray Harris fall collection is here and it is as pretty as ever.
The long red jacket is over the crushed skirt dress which is so useful as you can wear it very dressy or you can put a sweater or jacket over it and use it as a skirt with boots.  It is very beautiful, actually my favorite in a long line of favorites, and we have it in several colors.  Of course it is available to order in any of Ray’s wonderful colors as well.   Perfect as a mother of the bride or groom dress too. It is also available in a high neck or vee neck.
The flannel vest in gray and black comes with Ray’s little pins to close it where you want.
Restaurant news: Massimo, the former chef at Tosca, has opened his own restaurant, San Lorenzo, at 1316 9th Street, a few blocks up from Longview Gallery. We’re having dinner there this week but so far we have heard raves about it.  We have no doubt that it will be terrific because his food at Tosca was very delicious.
Have a great week and hope to see you soon!
