NFP, Moyuru, Anett Rostel and Alquema are here at Upstairs on 7th!

For all of you that celebrate Rosh Hashonah, we wish you a very happy and healthy New Year.  And to all of our customers we thank you so much for all the fun you have brought to our lives by coming here for shopping, conversations, or just to say hello.  We can never tell you how much we appreciate it.
Do not forget that next Thursday, September 20th through Saturday, September 22nd, Ray Harris will be here.  For those of you that have special occasions coming up or if you just want a shirt, dress, vest, coat or jacket that is perfectly custom made for you, this is the show to come for. We will have lots of pieces that you can take home with you and you will be the first to see spring 2019 by Ray Harris.
I love this pogoda jacket and we have it in several gorgeous colors.
We got our New Form Perspective sweaters in and they are better than ever.  We have one that is a vest that folds up into a PILLOW for travel. We have not had a minute to study the video but it is so clever as all her sweaters are. There are some heavy knit jackets as well.  All to be used in different ways!
Alquema dresses are in and we have the most beautiful burgundy one. The color is spectacular and other designers have used it also so it is very good to mix with pieces you may have or will get from other designers.  This picture shows it a little lighter than it is in real life.  It is very rich.  Throw a gorgeous Epice scarf on it and you are good to go!
Moyuru is here and we are just unpacking it this morning.  If you are a fan come by as you know how fast it goes!! And if you are out of town and want to see it, just FaceTime us.  This jacket is gorgeous! And the oversize tees and blouses are amazing.
For that something a little different and special Anett Rostel is the line for you.  Here are two of her gorgeous dresses.

Of course you put them with a dressy shoe and you can go to a black tie event.  Just goes to show you how accessories make the look.

We have about ten seats left for the Diane Rehm Off the Rack: Conversations at Upstairs on 7th event on Wednesday, October 3rd.  It starts at 6 for dinner and we start the conversation at 7.  The conversation ends at 8 and Diane will sign her latest book On My Own after.  If you already have the book be sure to bring it.  We will have some here and we just sell them at our cost plus the tax so if want to read it before, order it from Amazon. Otherwise, you can pick one up here.  We are so excited to have Diane as our first guest of the season.  If you are planning on attending let us know as soon as you can.
We have to send the information about April Ryan’s appearance on a special, separate email which you should have received at about the same time as this one.  The reason for it being separate will be shared in that email.
Today is September 11th.  We stop a moment to contemplate all the loved ones that lost their lives that day.  We stop a moment to thank all the brave firemen and policemen that ran into danger and who do that everyday because that is their job. We stop a moment to contemplate how each of us could do one act of kindness today that might change the world.

As we are about to get ready for the holidays and all that this fall season has in store for us, it is with very heavy hearts that we tell you of the passing of one of our dearest friends, Andrea Glazer.  She was the wife of Rabbi Stephen Glazer and the beloved mother of Ari and Reena. We knew her for all 11 years we have been open. When we met she was already battling cancer BUT she always had a smile, something funny to say, and a formidable will.  She never complained and for the longest time, cancer had met its match, until it didn’t.  We loved when she came in because she would choose the pieces that were just a little edgier, and a little more sophisticated that most people would not choose.  We always loved to see how she would put things together because it would always be different and somehow, better.  We already miss her and we will never forget her.
Rest in peace dear friend.
Ricki and Katy
