First, let us thank you all for making our Ray Harris trunk show such a huge success. It was record breaking but so are his clothes. And his kindness is so appreciated. We cannot even tell you what a great friend he is to U7 and we are so grateful to him because he only does shows at our store, although so many stores would love to have him. We bought more of his clothes that he had with him so you are welcome to come in and see his clothes if you didn’t get to the show, especially if you have an event coming up.
Speaking of great friends and great shows: Annemieke will be here in January and as soon as I know the date I will let you know. Today we got in some of her pieces in her new spring colors that she sent so if you want a sneak peek or just want another necklace in a different color, stop in. You all know how fast they get bought.
The green Annemieke necklaces will be great for spring because every designer used shades of green in their collections. Because Rundholz is so far ahead of the game, we already have his green gorgeous cashmere sweaters in the store.
We have some fabulous coats for this fall from lots of our favorite designers. This blue coat from Rachel Comey is really beautiful and long to ward off the cold winds that we know are arriving.
These two coats from Moyuru are so stylish and the red one is reversible.
The wonderful Planet coat made of scuba fabric is just easy to throw on and go!
These are just a few of the many coats we have in our fall collection.
We have a lot of Comfy and Sun Kim so if those are your favorite lines come in as these are two lines that also get bought up so quickly.
Since so many of you are busy with work that gets extended we have lots of people cancel the day of our Off the Rack: Conversations at Upstairs on 7th we always over book it if we can. I will take a few more RSVPs for both Diane Rehm, Wednesday October 3rd and for April Ryan on Monday, November 5th. We have lots of people coming to both these events so we are very excited to host all of you. We will have books here for both of our guests to sign and we only charge what we are charged as we are not in the book business. We believe so strongly in the women who graciously accept our invitation that we want as many of you to get the book if you so choose. We have Diane’s book in the store already so if anyone would like to get her book before the event feel free to do so. Diane and April will sign them for you.
We couldn’t wait until February to bring one of our best finds from the spring 2019 collections to the store, so we asked Lorna Nixon to come to U7 in October! Scottish born, London bred, this incredible New York handbag designer was one of the most fun parts of our buying trip.
Aside from her amazing custom bags, Lorna is the founder of I Made That Bag and we’ve invited her, so she can teach all of you how to make your own bag (or to drink some champagne, while Lorna helps you make your own bag!) We’ll have a range of leathers and sizes and Lorna will be on hand for instruction, but also to custom emboss initials and other stamps to make your bags truly your own. You can make your bag on site or choose one of her at-home kits for yourself or a gift. This would also be a great event to bring your daughter or granddaughter to. We will have pictures soon so you can see how cool these handbags are but trust us, this is going to be great.
SAVE THIS DATE! Saturday, October 20th from 12-5:00 for this really fun handbag event.
Enjoy our first day of sunshine in a long long time. In fact, walk over!
