First things first: CONGRATULATIONS TO THE WORLD CHAMPION WASHINGTON NATIONALS! What an exciting Game 7 and what a perfect outcome for this special team. FIGHT FINISHED! Can you believe it?!
We will have a champagne toast and LUNCH for you on Saturday, so come see us before or after the parade which begins at 2. We will be here from 12-5 celebrating!
We have several collections in the store for trunk shows: Dress to Kill is still here (probably until mid-week, next week,) and it will have you dreaming of spring weather. It will be here before you can blink, and it is always nice to have something hanging in your closet to remind you that the winter won’t last forever.
The beautiful shipment of vintage bangles and necklaces from the Carole Tanenbaum Vintage Collection is here for the next couple of weeks. Come build a stack of bangles or see some of the multi-strand necklaces that have been so popular for us. Here are some photos of what is here. They are like wearing history and the condition is really extraordinary.
We are also so thrilled to have Marian Paquette’s stunning handbags for the week. This is the first time this wonderful designer has done a trunk show and you will understand why I was so aggressive about you seeing them; they are exceptionally made and will take you so many places. Each is unique and quite special.
I love nail polish. I mean, I really, really, love nail polish. I tried tons of brands to land on Cirque Colors made in Brooklyn to carry in our store. It wears well, it’s 10-free and comes in really pretty fashion colors. It isn’t available anywhere in the city except U7. Please buy it so Ricki stops giving me side-eye. She’s not so sure we need nail polish. It’s a perfect stocking stuffer.
The last shipments of gifts and stationery will arrive early next week as we head into the most wonderful time of the year. Make your list. Check it twice. Come visit!
I am very excited to have our conversation with Mike Berman on Tuesday night. If you haven’t RSVP’d, time is running out. We are going to talk about everything: elections, restaurants and their bathrooms, being fat (you heard me, I said the “F” word,) the election, human rights, supporting women, partisanship, and more. You won’t want to miss it. It’s going to be fascinating.
Off the Rack: Conversations at Upstairs on 7th Tuesday, November 5th
Please RSVP to Upstairson7th@aol.com if you haven’t already done so or if you would like to bring a friend let us know by 4 this afternoon as we have to order the chairs and food.
