Ladies and Gentleman, it is about to get cold, so before I launch into what is upcoming at Upstairs on 7th, let me remind you that you probably want a new coat to soothe your soul when it gets dark at 4:30. We have some beautiful ones left! They will make you happy!
Another thing that will calm your nerves is Normalife and we are so fortunate to have our reps from Norma Kamali visiting us next Friday, November 15th to share it with you. Not only will they be walking you through the four amazing products (see Norma below, don’t you want to look like 74 year-old Norma?!) we’ll be sipping champagne while we cleanse, exfoliate and soften your hands with in-store hand treatments. We will also have all of the new pieces from Norma Kamali which will be great for holiday. We’re bringing in all new styles just for the event, so please stop by! The event will be from 12-5, but if you’re here earlier or later, that’s okay, too. It’s going to be really fun, relaxing and a little bit glamorous. We could all use a little bit of that, couldn’t we?
Did you know that we love our clients? We do, we love you! You make our days so much more fun, interesting and richer. As a small thank you, we’re throwing a party! Save December 3rd to celebrate with us! There is going to be a photo booth, bubbles, a raffle, and much more.
We’re also going to use the party to kick off our holiday giving campaign. We came up with a way to help those in need during this and all seasons and we hope you will want to help. We are going to be putting together bags of necessities for you to distribute to the many homeless people in our neighborhoods.
Here is how it will work: Below is a list of what we will be collecting. These are items that we’ve researched to understand what is most needed. Bring us any of these items between December 3 and December 14th. We will be making up bags (that will also include a list of resources in the District) during the week of December 16th. We plan to distribute some and you can also pick bags up starting on December 18th to distribute yourself. We’ll have them available until the end of the year or until we run out. For those of you who are out of town and want to contribute, please send items to us by the 14th, or we will gratefully accept donations by check and use the funds to buy items for the bags. Thank you for giving back with us!

Warm Socks (they should be black and good quality)
Washcloths
Kleenex packs
Band-Aids
Wipes (that do not have alcohol as an ingredient)
Travel toothbrush
Travel size toothpaste
Chocolate (Dove Promises/Hershey’s Miniatures)
Soft Snacks (Granola Bars/Soft Cookies)
Tuna and Cracker snack packages
Lip Balm
Travel Size Lotion
Gallon Sized Plastic Bags (these should be the kind that has the zipper closure so that they will last)

Lots of arrivals this week in the shop for holiday gifting. Italian stationer Rossi has been one of my favorites for a long time. They make gorgeous gifts and feel a little bit old world and modern at the same time. Here are some of my picks!
We have some desk calendars and planners for those of you who are like me and refuse to put precious information into a phone! I can honestly say that I don’t really know how to do that and I don’t ever want to learn.
