Okay, confess. Are you still in your pajamas?
No judgment, but it might be time to get out of them.
You haven’t pulled out your summer clothes, you say? It’s okay! No need. We have lots of summer still on sale and fall has started to arrive, so we’ve got you covered.
Let’s start with the sale. Everything is on sale 30%-70% off, with lots right in the middle at 50%. If you need a few new things to get you through the last month of super hot days, it’s all here for you! All of the Ray Harris we have in stock is 30% off for just a little bit longer before we put it back to full price (this is a once in a century pandemic promotion, so take advantage of it before it disappears). Jewelry will also be 50% off for another week and then it will go back to full price (some of it is fall jewelry, we just wanted to give you a little added incentive to shop). #covidsilverlinings
And then there is fall. Confession time. We both love fall clothes so much that we have been known to come in on our days off if things that we’re excited about arrive. Yep. We are so impatient that we can’t wait a day. Oh, and Ricki will wear a new piece of fall in 100 degree weather because she gets so excited she can’t wait to wear it until the actual season it was meant for. For example, she was wearing a dress with a turtleneck and long sleeves yesterday. 97 degrees did not deter her and it should not deter you from adding it to your wardrobe, either. Especially because the dress she wore is from our first shipment of Rundholz which arrived on Friday and is already selling out!
Black Label is really colorful this year, but don’t be scared: by really colorful we mean steel blue, burgundy and dark pine green. The colors are dark and soft and so pretty. We’d heard from so many of you that you were craving a little color, so we delivered. Here are some of our favorite pieces from this first shipment:
This is the print Rundholz used this season. We love the nylon and leather crossbody bag that holds lots of things even though it is compact.
This pintuck top comes in purple, green and blue. It is a really good top for layering and jewelry.
No one does denim like Rundholz and here are two original denim jackets with nylon mixed in. If you don’t want the nylon to stick out you can just zip it up for a more fitted look.
For those of you who ordered necklaces during our Annemieke trunk show, she is working on them fast and furiously. For those who missed out, never fear, we ordered some of the most popular ones for the store and those will arrive shortly after the special orders are complete. They should be in the early part of next week and we will get in touch with you for pickup of your special orders.
We are still working on dates for some other exciting Zoom trunk shows, but in the meantime we are coming to you on FaceBook live from the store every Monday and Wednesday at 3pm EDT so mark your calendars. Just go to the Upstairs on 7th FaceBook group and click on live. You never know what we’re going to show or what we might say. Come watch today! Also please feel free to share FB live with your friends that you are always telling about the store. If you can’t be on at 3 they are on our page for later viewing. One of them had over 1,000 views!
So many funny memes this week. Here are some of our favorites:
We hope to see you soon. It is always fun to see your faces, even with your masks on, and it offers a little bit of normalcy in the midst of these odd times. We’re at the store from 11-5 Monday through Friday and by appointment on Saturday. Of course you are more than welcome to come early or late and one of us will meet you!
Just a word to all of you who have made the trip down to the store to buy clothes we know you won’t be wearing all that much: we cannot thank you enough and we won’t forget your loyalty. Many of our friends who own stores around the country have either gone out of business or are really one more lockdown or bad week or two away from closing. With all the speakers, trunk shows, and special events we have had to cancel through the end of the year, as well as all the conferences that have kept our out of town customers away, we of course have lost revenue but we pledged that we would stay open no matter what and with your help we have been able to keep that promise.
While we don’t know exactly what the future may hold we can assure you we are doing everything we can possibly do to keep the store and you safe when you are in it and everything we can do to stay open. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
Have a good rest of the week and we’ll keep you posted on new arrivals and virtual events!
Be well and be safe!
Ricki and Katy
