Upstairs on 7th: Fall is coming in fast and furious!

Fall is in the air and in the store.
It might be fleeting (this is DC after all so we can expect a second short round of summer humidity and temperatures before we cool down for good) which means two things:
#1 You should take advantage of the 60% off sale and get some wear out of it before the summer is totally gone AND #2 you can start to assemble your fall Zoom wardrobe.
We reworked a lot of our buy for fall to reflect the new at-home lifestyle, so while you won’t see lots of party dresses this season (there will be a few just in case) there are lots of beautiful and cozy tops, bottoms and dresses. Looking pretty will feel really good this season.
Since we had no idea what was around the bend in February we added lots of new designers to our roster and perhaps the most exciting is Comme des Garçons which we hope to receive today.  We were very thrilled and honored, truthfully, when we were invited to carry this line well over a year ago. We made two trips to Paris, such a hardship, to experience the line and make sure we felt it was the right time to bring in such an important designer. We were so excited to place the order in early March that Katy celebrated in Paris with a croissant as big as her head at the Park Hyatt.
Mother nature and Covid may be having a big laugh at our expense, but sometimes you have to take a risk, so we didn’t cancel our order (in fact, we didn’t cancel any of our orders for fall,) and we couldn’t be happier because these clothes are very special and we want our store to stay special, even in 2020, the year that refuses to give anyone a break.
We also received our second Reina Lee order (aka Comfy 2.0) and it is some of our favorite Sun Kim styles: the crushed jacket and the boyfriend jacket in some bright and neutral colors for a pop or for something practical.

If you saw our last Facebook Live you saw our new Rundholz also got here. Lots of cropped sweaters and an awesome skirt from Dip!
This cropped sweater comes in blue as shown and purple and green.
Ray Harris for fall is also here! There are three new fabrics and we fell in love with all of them. There is beautiful (and stretchy,) ballet lace in black and white (white is beautiful for winter, and don’t let anyone tell you otherwise!) There is pleated bi-stretch in navy and black with distressed fringe, which is gorgeous, and pleated fleece which is quite warm, cozy and environmentally friendly: it’s made out of recycled plastic bottles! We are expecting our new crinkle styles any day, also, and there were some new wonderful shapes that are more casual.
So, lots of new and lots of sale, a perfect combo.
Until then, here are some laughs:
Don’t forget to tune in to Facebook Live today at 3pm EDT and Monday at the same time. We have a lot to show you for both!
Come visit! We’re closed on Saturday for Rosh Hashanah, but we’re here 11-5 through Friday and back again on Monday.
For those that celebrate, Happy New Year (great timing for a NEW year,) and for those that don’t we are a welcoming bunch, so if you want to join us for the restart, we’re happy to have you. L’shana Tova!
