Upstairs on 7th: Oscars 2022! Oh what a night!!

WHAT?????

That was my reaction when I saw Will Smith slap Chris Rock. I am sure you had the same reaction! WOW!

And THAT, my friends, is my annual Academy Award wrap up!

No no, just kidding!

For the first time ever, with the exception of a few like Kristen Stewart and Tracee Ellis Ross, I really loved all the dresses this year. And Katy hated them all except for Lupita Nyongo’s which was my favorite. And that my friends is all you need to know about how different our taste is which is why the store has a great selection of clothing and accessories to appeal to more women.

The only other negative thing I would say is that there were so many red dresses and most of them had the same top that looked like this:

This is a wardrobe malfunction waiting to happen! And all different designers did it on more than a few dresses. It looks like the designers got in one room and tried to figure out what top would give the stars the most trouble trying to keep the top from falling down and everyone decided to make it. They may have had a betting pool to see which person lost first. That would have been Venus Williams.

So many people looked so beautiful but who was this guy? I have never heard of him and he was there to sing Encanto. Sebastian Yatra. Who knew?

Penelope Cruz looked gorgeous. I love the sequined bow at her neck. And I love her husband.

And of course Nicole Kidman looked amazing. She is such a gorgeous person and she was so good as Lucille Ball. If you didn’t see the movie you should as it was really good. We are throwing in a little Keith Urban because they are such a great couple.

Cynthia Erivo looked great and I loved her feminine tuxedo.

While it was difficult to walk in, this dress for Jada Pinkett Smith was one of my favorites. The color and the fabric are amazing.

Talk about Audrey Hepburn: Zoe Kravitz nailed it! Lots of pink dresses made their way down the red carpet and this was one of the most beautiful.

And then there is Lupita. She is always the very best dressed woman in the room. This night was no exception. Her stylist is amazing. And she is so beautiful.

As he said, he was the host of what is now known as the SECOND craziest Oscar Awards when they said the wrong name for best picture. I was so glad CODA won, it was so good.
