Upstairs on 7th: Goings On and What’s Around the Bend!

Hi Everyone!
Raise your hand if you ate too much over the holiday weekend! Raise your hand if you ate too much banana pudding over the holiday weekend, or if you are Ricki, raise your hand if you ate banana pudding pretty much every day for a month! Just kidding, Mom! If you couldn’t tell, it’s Katy signing on to tell you about some favorites in the store and also some things to look forward to.
Has anyone switched over their closet yet? I’ve almost gone through with it a couple of times, but I’m so glad that I didn’t! I’m back in a winter coat and sweaters and the Amma dress that I can’t stop wearing. It got me thinking that we actually use transitional pieces in DC and that it’s kind of refreshing to get to dress for all four seasons.
Here are a few of my favorite transitional pieces, since we are clearly in a transition. Are you ready for 80 degree weather at the end of the week? Aren’t we glad that snowstorm my mama was convinced of never showed up? Although it did sleet in the suburbs! As a recovering Chicagoan, I do not do snow in April.
And here are the red pants that Ricki was wearing yesterday since some of you asked to see them again. And a great red Rundholz top, just because!
We are working on dates for three trunk shows! Yes, you read that correctly: three!
Mark your calendars for Leslie from Planet who is bringing the full fall collection to the store on June 2nd and June 3rd.
We are going to have a visit from Emily who owns Paper Temples so she can show you all of her options for fall sweaters. We LOVED the colors she chose and can’t wait for you to see them. Think hot pink, neon yellow and hunter green! And for those of you who we just lost due to color options, think black! Date to be announced soon!
We are also very close to setting a date with Ray for the middle of May. So many of you have asked for an exact date, and we’re close. You can imagine that there are a lot of moving parts with Ray running his studio practically on a team of, well, just Ray, but we promise as soon as his tickets are booked you will know. Those of you who were waiting for a date the answer is yes, book your Memorial Day vacation as he is coming in the middle, not the end of May. Just to make you even more restless, he showed us something he is working on for fall and we might all need five of them. Save your pennies. It’s really good and useful with all of your Ray dresses. So there you go. And, no we won’t tell, because we love a good surprise.
Instead, here are this week’s laughs:
Come see us! We are here from 11-5 Monday through Friday and on Saturday from 1-5.
