Among her many accolades, Dr. Berzin has been consistently named one of the region’s “Top Doctors” by Washingtonian magazine. She is also an Associate Clinical Professor in the Department of Dermatology and Medicine at George Washington University Medical Center and is certified by the American Board of Dermatology. She is a Fellow of numerous professional organizations including the American Academy of Dermatology, the American Society of Dermatologic Surgery and the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery. Dr. Berzin is also a member of the D.C. Dermatology Society and the D.C. Medical Society.

Dr. Berzin was born in France to American parents. Fluent in both English and French, she attended a French international public school and graduated from high school at the age of 16. She graduated from Connecticut College in 1974 with a B.A. in Psychology and then undertook graduate research in biology at University of California San Diego. Moving toward her career in medicine, Dr. Berzin graduated from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in 1979, interned in pediatrics at Jacoby Municipal Hospital in the Bronx, NY and then completed her residency in dermatology at George Washington University in 1983. Dr. Berzin served as the first staff dermatologist at Kaiser Permanente in Washington D.C., the not-for-profit managed health care organization. |
