Upstairs on 7th: How is it July?!

Hi Everyone!

The summer is flying by, isn’t it? June just flew and winter coats should show up any day now. That is a little bit of an exaggeration, but some of them will be here this month. Hard to believe, we know!

In the meantime, we have lots of things going on and coming up in the store, so let’s get to it.

Firstly, a big thank you to Dr. Berzin, Dr. Pabby, and all of you who joined us for Off the Rack: Conversations at Upstairs on last night. It was a great evening of education on preventative care and cosmetic advances in Dermatology. Wear that sunscreen people! For those of you who missed the event, we hope you’ll be able to join us at the next one.

A quick note about RSVP’s: If you RSVP and need to cancel, please do your very best to let us know a few days ahead of time. We understand when there is an emergency, but when we have day of cancellations we cannot change our catering order or adjust additional staffing. We love offering these events free of charge and having dinner with all of you, so if you could help us with this we would really appreciate it.

We love supporting local theater and Studio Theatre is one of our favorites. We were so excited when they added Fun Home to their season and we’d love to see it with you.

Fun Home, based on the Alison Bechdel’s graphic autobiography, was a finalist for the 2014 Pulitzer Prize in Drama and the winner of Five Tony Awards including Best Musical.

We have secured tickets with a discount that you can purchase using the discount code for the 7:30pm performance on Wednesday, August 9th.

We will also be hosting a pre-theater dinner at the store, so please RSVP to u7wardrobe@gmail.com if you will be joining us. We will have dinner together at 5pm and then head to the theater. The show is 90 minutes long with no intermission.

It’s almost time for Recycle Sale!

Have you been sorting your closets to decide if you can part with some of your U7 items?

Once again, here are the rules!

Between Monday, July 17th and July 22nd, you can bring up to 8 items of clothing, jewelry or accessories that you have bought from Upstairs on 7thover the years into the store. As a reminder, we are unable to take anything prior to the 17th due to our limited storage space.

-Every piece of clothing MUST be dry cleaned and brought to the store in the dry cleaning bag in order to be accepted for the sale. The only exception to this is Ray Harris. Since his garments shouldn’t be dry cleaned, If you are planning to resell one of his pieces, these must be washed thoroughly before bringing them in. This is a protective measure to keep everyone safe so we can continue to do sales like this.

-You will be given a form to fill out when we take in your items and we will price them for you.

-On Monday, July 24th the sale will begin and it will run through July 29th.

-If we sell your item(s) you will get 1/2 of the amount of the sale price in the form of a gift certificate to use on anything in the store. i.e. If we sell one of your items for $350 you will get a gift certificate for $175 that can be used in the store through 11/30/23 when the gift certificates will expire.

This is a fan favorite event and we can’t wait!

We received some new Annemieke necklaces this week and this evolution is BEAUTIFUL! Here is a feast for your eyes!

We received our first shipment of Planet for fall and the colors are so pretty. Here is our favorite Mini Boxy T and a couple of the other highlights of their new collection.

Our sale continues as we make room for fall.

Most of our spring/summer clothes are marked down at LEAST 40% and pieces from fall are now more than 70% in some cases. We have lots of great gifts and jewelry, too, which we have now marked to 30% off.

Next week we will be here on Monday 11-5, we will be CLOSED on Tuesdaay for the July 4th holiday and then open Wednesday-Friday 11-5 and Saturday from 1-5.
