Upstairs on 7th: So Much New Stuff, We Can Hardly Keep Up!

Hi Everyone!
Before we launch into this week’s info, the real news is that Annemieke will be here Friday and Saturday, so you should be too! She will be here from 11-5 on Friday and 12-5 on Saturday. She’s brought lots of one of a kind pieces, her whole new collection, and we can’t wait for you to see what she made as a surprise for Ricki. So come visit!

Now onto the rest!

It’s time to fess up and tell you the truth. Once in a while, we like to complain. Sometimes the merchandise comes in too slow for us and we whine about that and then it comes in a deluge and we have no problem griping about that.

That, however, is not the case right now. Even though we are getting boxes every day, the steamer is going all day long while it’s 100 degrees outside, we can’t wear the checkered double-faced sweater that we’ve been dreaming about since March, and our delivery people give us side eye and glare at us as if to say that their holiday gifts had better be extra special this year, we are like kids in a candy shop because these clothes are beautiful, if we do say so ourselves.

This week we’ve received our new line from Korea called Eunoia and all of you who have visited have really loved it. It’s all black and white/cream. It’s incredibly well made and tailored: meticulously, in fact. There are wonderful shapes and fabrics, and all of it works together.

Here are a few pieces so you can get the flavor of Eunoia!
We got another shipment of Rundholz in this week including these gorgeous Dip pieces in gold. This grape dress (which can also be worn as a jacket,) has gold flecks in the fabric, too!
We received the second half of our Epice order and there were some beauties in the mix. Here are some of them, just to give you a taste not only of the scarves, but some of the colors that will mix well with the colors of the season and really pop on all of the black and white in the store.
Another new line that has made its way to us from across the Atlantic is Aleksandr Manamis from Copenhagen. This is a really special collection and the whole line is shrouded in mystery because no one knows who the designer is! Is Aleksandr Manamis a person or a brand? It’s never been revealed publicly and they or she or he (?!) have been in business since 2007. Whoever they are, the clothes are timeless, made with incredibly unique fabrics that are designed in-house (this season was based on two unrestored paintings,) and conversation starters. Some of them are unisex, so for those of you who have asked about menswear, this is probably as close as we’re going to get!
A reminder that Ray Harris will be here November 8th-10th. There will be lots of pieces to take home with you, a new spring collection to order your made to measure pieces from, and a new selection of vintage pieces that have been revived and revisited by Ray.

It’s one of the best weeks of the year when Ray is here. So many of you have been coming to see him for more than a decade, some of you come from out of town and many of you have enviable Ray Harris collections that we love seeing. We can’t wait!

And now for the memes:
We are open Wednesday-Friday 11-5 and this Saturday we are opening early for the Annemieke trunk show and will be here 12-5.

Don’t forget to come see Annemieke (and us) Friday and Saturday!

You can find us on FaceBook Live at 2pm on Tuesday and Friday or at your leisure on the Upstairs on 7th page on Facebook anytime!

Come visit! Call! FaceTime!

Have a great rest of the week,

Ricki and Katy
