Upstairs on 7th: It’s 80 Degrees, So We Know You Need a Scarf!

Hi Everyone!

Even though it’s going to feel like summer in Washington today, it’s full on fall/winter at U7 and where there are lots of gloves…there are also lots of scarves!

We just received a shipment from Abstract in Italy with their gorgeous cashmere blends, boucles, brushed soft wools, and really fun, bright, padded scarves. For those who don’t love too much pattern or print, these are the perfect pieces to keep you cozy, dress up a coat, or give as a gift.

If you have been following us over the last few weeks, you know we have gloves to match them all.

We have lots of gifts for the holidays coming in this coming week or two, so start making your lists and we will be happy to fill them.

For hostesses, teachers, friends, family and yourself, we have curated a whole little curiosity shop of new brands and treats. There will be lots of puzzles, stationery, wrapping paper, some jewelry lines we’ve never carried, fanciful French organza bags, Tatine candles, fans from the Netherlands, and some charming items for the kitchen.

A huge thank you to M.T. Connolly, author of The Measure of our Age for coming to Upstairs on 7th (even after breaking her leg)! For those of you who missed the talk, but would like to read the book and have a signed copy, we have five here in the store. It was a great conversation and it is an excellent and extremely important book.
Ray is burning the midnight oil (he’s practically living in his studio,) to get ready for the trunk show. He is going to have lots of special pieces for this one!

There is a whole new fabric, new dress shapes, lots of RAYvived vintage, some very special one of a kind jackets and a whole lot more to look forward to.

The show will be from November 8th until November 11th and our hours will be mostly the same 11-5, though we will most definitely be here past those hours as we always are. We will post a final schedule next week.

And now for this week’s memes:
We are here today and tomorrow from 11-5 and on Saturday 1-5.

You can see us live tomorrow on FaceBook at 2pm and watch reruns any time on our Upstairs on 7th page.

We hope to see you soon and until then, be well and take care of one another.

Ricki and Katy
