This Saturday we are having a very exciting trunk show. I say exciting because Kedem is one of our best lines. I have not seen the Kedem clothes for spring
myself and Andy tells me that there are some special dresses as well as a new fabric in pin dot. And KHAKI which no one does better than Kedem Sasson. If any of you have his khaki from years ago you know what I am talking about! You get to play buyer and help me decide what pieces to buy for the store. Wait till you see how hard it is! Andy is also bringing some linen pieces from an Australian line Banana Blue so it should be very fun. We will be ready to go from 11 and will stay until the last person is done around 6. Kedem’s fall collection will be here tomorrow so if you have special orders you can pick them up any time but of course Saturday is good so that you can see next season. And help me buy. It is a lonely job.
Bobbie Medlin’s new gallery will be open this Saturday also so you will be among the first to see her fabulous collection. I cannot wait to see it myself! Take down that paper Bobbie Medlin!!
About the Red Line on Saturday. Oh, there is NO red line on Saturday. So if you are taking the metro on the blue or orange, you can get off at Metro Center still. But if you are taking the red line you need to get off at Dupont and there will be a shuttle to the Metro Center station which is what I may do. OR, you can park in the garage in this building which you enter on 11th street, in the middle of the block. If you get lucky you can park on the street. I was told today that the reason the L street exit of Dupont Circle is taking ONE YEAR to fix is because, we, the riders ran up and down them with such crazy abandon, that we broke them. I am not kidding,
Peter Mahler came in yesterday and if anyone wants a wide belt or one that double wraps he has some beauties. They are priced at $165 and $185, so not expensive as some others we have had in the past. I try people, I try. There are some great skirts and a vest in his crush fabric with knit inserts that is very pretty in olive green. There are lots of pieces from Niche here and the Comfy tees are almost gone so if you still want them you need to come in or let me know. The Sun Kim is once again going out the door quickly so don’t wait to see it as there are just no re orders.
The colorful purse accessories are here again so if you want to start stocking up for holiday gifts, now would be the time. Ok, there, I said it, HOLIDAY gifts! Speaking of purses I am getting a ton of Matt and Nat bags in hopefully this week. I ordered them in cognac, red, gray, black and khaki and hope to see them in the store by the day of the trunk show.
Wasn’t the First Lady’s dress fabulous last night? Not to mention that speech!
Also, ladies, the fashion police are out in full force and HERE IS WHAT CAME TO MY STORE TODAY! FOUR days AFTER Labor Day! Let this be a lesson. I will post you. (Ok, I asked permission and I took off her head, but she knows who she is!)
