Upstairs on 7th’s last call for the holidays!

Rubber

It is hard to believe this is the end of the year, already. Could it go any faster?

It has been so much fun having all of you as customers and really, friends this year. I hope you have gotten some great clothes and accessories for yourselves and as gifts, had some fun, and run into the most interesting people while you visited.

As most of you know I always close between Christmas and New Year’s. This Saturday is the last day I will be open because if the last two years are any indication, the few days before Christmas you are all cooking and wrapping and buying candy! I will be here from 12-5 in case you need some last minute gifts for yourself or people on your list. There are still some wonderful scarves, jewelry, and clothes that will make someone smile when they open them up. Or if you need gift certificates we can do that too.

I cannot end without saying how sad I am about Sandy Hook as I know all of you are. I hope we will once again ban assault weapons and how I pray that those families struggling with kids who need help will be able to find it. I know families who really need assistance and with so many cuts for school counselors, mental health professionals, and health insurance that runs out, it is so hard to get help. So it is not all about guns. But a lot of it is. The best post I saw said that ONE person had a shoe bomb and now we all have to take off our shoes at the airport, which I personally hate doing. But we have had THIRTY ONE school shootings and yet, we do not do anything about it. Now, will we?

More Rubber!
More Rubber!
On a much happier note: next year is going to have some surprises and I cannot wait to share them with you. Also, get ready because I bought COLOR this spring. Don’t be scared. There will be plenty of black to go around. You must come to the Planet show on January 9th and 10th because the new sweater styles are gorgeous and Leslie is so much fun!

Thank you all so much for shopping at Upstairs on 7th. I hope you know how much I really appreciate it. I hope that your holidays are wonderful and that next year brings us all good health, happiness, peace, and really cool stuff!

Happy New Year to you all!

Ricki
