I cannot wait for you to meet designer and fellow store owner Mariam Heydari on Thursday. She will be here from 12-6. Spend a few minutes on Valentine’s Day with us and see her beautiful clothes and have some champagne and chocolates! I wore one of her dresses to the fancy wedding and she is bringing her dressy pieces as well as her new wonderful linen pants and tops. She also has this asymmetrical dress that is amazing and she is bringing that as well. She is really a lovely person so here is your chance to meet her in person.
I have been DYING to tell you all about this movie we saw on Sunday: Side Effects. RUN to see it. It is so good and no one does crazy better than Rooney Mara. It reminded me of Primal Fear with Richard Gere and Ed Norton. I promise you will walk out and say what the hell? And Jude Law and Catherine Zeta-Jones, who is drop dead gorgeous, were great too. We also saw Quartet and I just love Maggie Smith. She is so fabulous. It was a lovely movie too. Ok, now that I have told you about Side Effects, I feel better.
Lunn came in today and the lovely Dyanna is unpacking it right now as I write this! It looks beautiful and very Lilith-ish. Angela Caputi jewelry came in and has already started selling so come soon for that. I also got in some rubber bracelets, part of the bracelet bonanza from a few weeks ago that I mentioned in a previous post.
Planet is open and I hope you will get in soon to see all of their great matte jersey, linen, nylon and knit pieces. We have the architectural skirt back in today in charcoal and black and the oyster will be in next week. It is so great it is hard to keep it in stock. Paired with the boatneck ribbed sweater, it is one of my favorite outfits.
The Kedem Sasson is on its way to the United States so it will be in the store in about two weeks. It is GORGEOUS. If you did not get to come to the trunk show I bought plenty of it as it was so beautiful so there will be enough for everyone who wants it. I have the date for the fall trunk show too: March 15th. Andy is bringing Kedem, Banana Blue and a new line Karen Klein, that I am going to look at in NY in a few weeks. So that should be a great show. Mark your calendars!
Did you know that last Sunday was the 49th anniversary of the Beatles being on Ed Sullivan? Watch it on youtube as it will bring back memories. I remember sitting in our little family room with my brothers and parents who were complaining about how long their hair was, and it made me a little sad to think that so much time has flown by. They were kids! And so were we!
