I know, I know, it HAS been a long time since last we “spoke.” It has been so busy at both stores that I have not had a minute!!!
I did get in Comfy and the Sun Kim and there are some pieces that would be perfect for this weekend. Check out the picture below. All in black and white and perfect with all the new pops and poppy necklaces I got in again from Annemieke. I also got in some jackets, vests, and pants from Transparente and that amazing pearl necklace from Couture Saboteur which is in the picture below also. If anyone wants one of the bubble necklaces I got them in again in the white which seems to be the favorite color.
Restaurant review from one of my knowing customers is that Osteria Elisir in DC has completely changed the menu but not the great chef and that it is much less money but still fantastic so we should all go. We ate at Fiola’s on Tuesday which was my birthday dinner even though my birthday was MONDAY LEE (ok, maybe he DID get his dates mixed up) and it was excellent. Our waitress was fantastic and even though it is a little noisy, it is tolerable compared to a lot of restaurants that feel the noisier the better. I hate that. I know it is annoying because I am old but really sometimes you cannot hear yourself think in these places!! Very tragic what happened at Central the other night but I am never eating on the patio again because let’s face it: these restaurants do not have patios. That would mean that you are in the back of the restaurant in their outdoor space or on the side like at Blue Duck Tavern. The restaurants here have tables on the street so if someone jumps the curb, you are in trouble. Although this happened to my Uncle in New York and he was in the restaurant. He was the only one hit that did not die so it can happen but why chance it? Very scary.
I may put a few pieces of jewelry on sale and I will put the Matt and Nat bags down 25% also. There are a few great styles left and do not forget that they make great gifts. Yes, start your holiday shopping right now!! While it is a paltry 95 degrees with our wonderful 100% humidity.
One last hilarious thing our granddaughter Dylan said last week that has me still laughing. (OH my God, I am so boring) We were having a family dinner with Dylan’s other grandparents and she called her Grandma Robin, just Robin. So I asked when that had started and Robin said that morning. So she asked Dylan what she would like to be called and she replied, “You may call me Miss Peltzman!” Where does she get these things from?
Have a fantastic weekend everyone!!
