BREAKING NEWS: My little grandson Harrison is going to have a BABY BROTHER in late January!! And I cannot WAIT to fly to Chicago in JANUARY!
The best Porto dress came in late on Friday and it is the black dress that will take you to every single event you have left this summer. Then use it as a jumper for the rest of the year. It has great seams in it and lots of style for being so simple. I am amazed how fast all the Porto has sold. People really love it. I also got in their black pant again and I am glad as I had already sold a lot of the tops! So if you got a top, come back for the pant!!
I got in the Upside Down Sweater from Planet today. Some of you may remember it from a few years ago. They brought this oldie but goodie back and re colored it. It is engineered to be a shawl collar sweater and also a coat when you turn it upside down. It is perfect for when you are traveling and you need something short and then long or if you get caught on a day when the temperature goes down like in San Francisco every three blocks. Speaking of San Fran, if you go there, try and go to Heirloom, this really great restaurant in the Mission District. It is really good food and the wine list is fantastic. The owner went to college with my daughter Katy and it has received rave reviews and is in the top restaurants there.
Don’t forget that next week on Wednesday and Thursday is the Planet trunk show. Spoiler alert: if you cannot come those days I will have the show samples probably this Friday but of course Leslie will be here next week and she is better at styling the line than I am and she is more helpful as far as colors, etc. since she knows the line so well.

The Matt and Nat purse with the two pockets came in today: black, cognac and deep turquoise blue. It is 160 and it is the bag I carry everyday. So if you want to be just like me, get this purse! I feel some of you rolling your eyes!! Stop it!
I have literally been laughing about the Shingles commercial all day. At the end of it the man says he would not wish shingles on his worst enemy. Well I have had shingles and believe me, I would wish it on my worst enemy. Or an ex husband or maybe that girl in high school who was mean to you. Oh, maybe that is why I got shingles in the first place! I am joking, (not about the ex husband part) but if you have NOT had shingles, you should get the shot for it because it is painful and you can get it on your face and your eyes. It is more common on your stomach and is usually on one side. If you start to itch and get a rash, go to the doctor immediately as they can give you medicine that will help it to be a less painful experience for a shorter amount of time. And then, when it heals, wish it on your worst enemy.
Still good after all these years: Nora’s. When I still lived in Cleveland Nora opened and it made news even there for the great organic food, very new back then, and all the great people you see there. Two times ago I saw the Vice President and Jill Biden. Saturday Alan Greenspan, Andrea Mitchell, and Vernon Jordan were there. Someone said Jim Lehrer was there but I did not see him. So still great food and great DC star sightings!
If anyone wants a certain style of Sun Kim or Comfy, email me and let me know because I am going to New York for a show this weekend and as you know I cannot reorder their pieces but I have to put an order in for October. Don’t get nervous, I have some coming in September too. Thanks.
