Taylor Swift, fall shows and other world news!

Every mom and little girl has to go to Taylor Swift at some point and last night was my turn with my “little girl” Katy who flew in from Chicago.  Ok, we MAY have been the oldest mother and daughter there, but it was so much fun it felt like we were young again.
When we walked in everyone was given a bracelet that had a LED light in it and it was computer generated so that when she sang it made the stadium look like a fairy land.  All different colors at different times during the song, sometimes just for emphasis on a note.  Here are the white and purple ones but by the end every color had been used and at the finale it was all mixed.  It was fabulous.

She is absolutely gorgeous and really talented and when she says she appreciates everyone coming, she means it.  Her mother should be very proud.

The cutest thing is how all the little girls dress up in the costumes she sings her songs in and of course everyone wears red lipstick!  (I KNEW I liked this girl’s style!)  Here is one little girl who was just adorable.

If you have a ticket for tonight or you can get one, go.  It is a spectacle!  The technology alone, minus the stage malfunction that she handled in a very funny way, is worth the price of the ticket.  And the clothes are amazing!
And now for U7 news: our fall shows are starting soon so get out your calendars.
First up is Planet!  Leslie will be here on Wednesday, August 5th and Thursday, August 6th with all the fall samples and stock.  We already have a lot in so you can get a preview but Leslie will have all the color ways.  You know she always lets us sell the pieces so be the first to have these fantastic sweaters and new nylon and crepe pieces.  The crepe is beautiful. It is the perfect weight for almost all year and it is very elegant. The jackets and pants will take you to any meeting, event, dinner or party you have to go to this coming year.  I love it.  There are lots of new nylon pieces and the new raisin color is already a hit!  The great collar nylon jacket looks really nice on.  Come in and try on all the new shapes.  Also we still have some of the pieces they sent us that are 20% off and some sale summer pieces at 40% off.  They will only be here for two more weeks so stock up for your August vacations now!
The next show is Anarkh and if you like more fitted clothes, this is the line for you. Ana uses gorgeous fabrics and she is an expert seamstress as well as a designer so even if you are a size 2 or a size 18, she can make it for you.  Her clothes are really beautiful too!  She will be here all day on ThursdayAugust 20th so don’t miss seeing this beautiful collection.
On Thursday, September 24th and Friday, September 25th from 11-7 both days we have a fabulous show planned.  Ray Harris is bringing a collection he is designing just for U7 as well as his fall collection AND Annemieke Broenink is coming not only with her beautiful necklace collection, but the clothes that Ray and Annemieke have collaborated on. THIS show is not to be missed!!

You know when I put it in BOLD it’s going to be GREAT!  This is just the tip of the iceberg because we have some very exciting programs that we are just finalizing so stay tuned.  LOTS of things are going on at our stores!
A large collection of jewelry was put on sale at 50% off today.  Don’t worry if you were here last week, you didn’t miss out so don’t fret.  We don’t like to have you miss out on sales.  There are still some great items for summer left so come soon, as it is nice to have something new to get you through the dog days of August. If you need dark cottons for still hot September now would be the time to get them at great prices.
Ivan Grundahl’s beautiful jersey is in the store in black and red.  Also there is one sweater left that I just love.  They are completely sold out of it at the warehouse so this is it!

We went back to Fig and Olive with Katy and it was really delicious again. We saw lots of people we knew so thanks for reading the emails!
I hear the Amy Winehouse documentary is fantastic so we are going to try and go see it this week.  She was so good.  So tragic.
Well that is all my news.  Hope you are having a great week and we cannot wait to see you here soon!
