I know the Ray Harris show starts tomorrow but doesn’t that pale in comparison to the fact that Angeina Jolie and Brad Pitt are getting divorced? Because if you turned on any of the news channels this morning that is ALL anyone is talking about!! On the other hand, it did give us a few hours rest from the election. I suppose we have to be grateful for small favors.
So back to the show at hand. Spoiler alert: Ray Harris and his fabulous assistant Aldyth will be here late this morning setting up so if any of you cannot make it over here Thursday, Friday or Saturdaygive us till about one this afternoon and you can come over and see them. And his amazing clothes. There are about six new dresses that are really beautiful and perfect for your weddings as you walk your children down the aisle. And since he is here you can have a custom made dress for yourself.
The hours for the show are 11-7 (or until the last person leaves) on Thursday and Friday. Saturday we open at 12 BUT if you want to come in earlier or later than those hours just email me and we will accommodate you. In the new line besides his dresses are some new pin jackets in white and a new one in black that also has mesh on it. He has some wonderful terry cloth pieces and some gorgeous cotton dresses as well as cotton tops and bottoms. ALSO there is a silky black and white fabric that came in lots of styles. Really lots to choose from no matter your lifestyle and custom made for you as he measures everyone. I do not have pictures because we were so busy in NYC dodging bombs, UN traffic, fashion market traffic and the market itself that there was no time. But trust me there are some beautiful items. AND Ray has sent ahead about 75 pieces that you can buy right away so if you love Ray Harris clothes, and most of you do, this is the place to be for the next four days.
We saw the Anarkh girls and they are coming here on Thursday October 6th for the day so you will be able to see their line and the Kedem Sasson show is on Friday the 21st of October. Both of these lines look really nice for the spring. We love these shows because this way you don’t miss a single style and you see exactly what we see but you can choose. We are going to have an Ivan Grundahl show but the date is not set yet. It is the last line that he did and it is really very pretty. Very sad loss indeed.
Next week when we have some time we will tell you all about next spring but mostly you can sum it up in two words: gorgeous dresses.
As most of you know who have been in the store since February or who have read our emails, you know Katy and I are a little obsessed with the Color Purple. We went to see it again because Heather Headley is in it now but just for a few more weeks and she was so amazing that she really went toe to toe with Cynthia Erivo. And since winning the Tony Cynthia has a more relaxed, a little funnier, more confident take on the part. So it was fabulous and even better, when we were on our way to pick up our luggage before coming home we saw Cynthia Erivo eating at Pret A Manger! Great star sighting.
We have a few pieces of these bracelets and one necklace from Monies that I brought back with me if you want them. I also have some leather pieces with pearls on the bottom that go with the necklace or not.
