RAY HARRIS IS AT UPSTAIRS ON 7th!

Ray Harris is here all day and as long as you need us on Thursday, March 2nd, all day Friday, March 3rd and Saturday, March 4th 11-5.  If you want us to come in before 11, let us know and we will.  If you need us to stay later than 6:30, let us know that as well.  We usually do but we don’t want to miss anyone that wants to see him and his new fall designs.  He also brought some things for instant gratification so not to worry you won’t go home empty handed.  Below are some pictures of his plaids, knits, and new crinkle pieces.  He did a short dress that you can wear when you don’t have to wear black tie that is adorable. The samples are all in black but as you know the pieces are available in the 50 colors he uses. You can designate the length of the arms and the hem and choose your favorite neckline making the dress custom designed. He has a new style of scarf that everyone was buying in New York.  A must see.

I have to say that Katy and I just got back from the fall market and there are always a few lines we are just so excited about.  Dip from Rundholz, and do not get me started on the amazing green they used, and Ray’s collection were our two favorites this time.  And I am not just saying that because he is here.  It is the fabrics and how he mixes them as well as how beautifully made they are that really make his designs truly special.  And oh that green from Rundholz!

Rachel Comey has arrived, four styles from Elemente Clemente are here and clothes and jewelry from Megan Park are here.  I will send some pictures next time. We have lots of jewelry here from lots of our favorite designers: Sissy Yates, Jianhui, Annemieke, Jesse Walker, Nach, and Samuel Coraux among others.

Beautiful dresses from Anett Rostel are here so the store looks amazing: dresses everywhere!  I love dresses especially in the summer.  You put them on, you throw on a necklace and you are good to go.  Speaking of necklaces we got some new Annemieke ones with pearls again and also some gorgeous brown ones that are new for fall.  It’s good to be friends with the designer.  You get things EARLY!  She is coming here in May but I don’t have an exact date yet.

Here are some new Anett Rostel dresses:

Good, right? Even better in person because the fabrics are so lovely.

There are ten seats left for HILARY ROSEN who will be our next OFF THE RACK guest. She is a leading Democratic strategist and on-air analyst for CNN. From 1998-2003 she was CEO of the Recording Industry of America; from 2007-2009 she was the first Washington editor-at-large and political director of The Huffington Post. Hilary Rosen has been a leader in the LGBT movement for over 30 years. A graduate of GWU, she lives in Washington with her twin teenagers. For OFF THE RACK, she will be interviewed by Amy Henderson, Smithsonian Historian Emerita who writes regularly on media and culture.
DATE: Tuesday, March 7, 2017

There is no charge for this event so email me at Upstairson7th@me.com as there really are only 10 seats left!
On March 22nd we have this very exciting fundraiser: we would really like to have a huge turnout for this event as this non profit really does an amazing job in our city. The event planners were here the other day and this is going to be so much fun.  Please RSVP to Upstairson7th@me.com if you can attend.  Shopping with a purpose!

We have sold a lot of Rundholz in the last few weeks so don’t wait too long or we will be out of sizes.  Kedem Sasson is supposed to be here tomorrow and Planet has some terrific sweaters this season and we have them. If you bought the track dress in black and white this sweater looks great over it for the times you don’t want to go sleeveless.

We got the new Nach earrings in and this is one of the styles that reminds me of Bei Bei who just left the National Zoo. We have goldfish and frogs and lots of others. They are so much fun.
If you want to see a fabulous play on Broadway go see Dear Evan Hanson.  I know that a lot of you saw it at Arena.  It was excellent and we got to see Come From Away so thanks to everyone who gave us those recommendations.
Hope you have had a great week and we hope to see you this weekend for the Ray Harris show!
