RAY HARRIS will be in the building!

Our two favorite weekends of the year are the ones we have Ray Harris in our store: once in the fall and once in the spring.  If you have met him you know what we are talking about.  This will be his 22nd appearance at our store and we cannot wait!  He will be here this Thursday, Friday and Saturday.  PLEASE be our guest for dinner on Thursday and then hear Ray interviewed for our Off the Rack: Conversations at Upstairs on 7th series. It starts at 6 for dinner and the conversation starts at 7. We still have several seats open so we would love to have you hear his unique story.  RSVP as soon as you are done reading this!  Feel free to bring guests as we love having new people attend.

His clothes for fall are beautiful as always and his new pleat designs were the talk of the show. They mix really well with his crinkle so you might want to bring a piece or two to mix and give new life to a style you have worn. Below is just one style of many in just one of the new pleats.  Of course you can get any color.

He did a number of different fabrics including these paper thin rainwear styles that you can wear as a dress as well.  Gold and silver is EVERYWHERE!

Here is a coat that he is making in tweed with a little glitter that the camera is not picking up. There are a few styles including a vest.

Also, if you have a special occasion coming up you can have something made custom for you at no extra cost.  If you have anything you want taken in, hemmed or altered Ray is happy to have you bring his pieces and he will fix them for you and get them right back as soon as possible.

There are lots of new styles of dresses and gorgeous new colors so we are sure this is going to be a most fantastic show.  We can’t wait till Thursday!

We have 20 RSVP’s for our MedWIsh benefit already and we would love to have 20 more.  This is such a worthwhile non profit and it will also be such a grand night.  Dinner will be served and then we can have Betsy and Lisa entertain us with their great voices. All the information is below and all proceeds go directly to MedWish.

We have lots of Planet in the store right now and there are some wonderful sweaters in COLORS.  Periwinkle blue, fuschia, pale sheer pink, orange and of course black and white.

Designer Jane Mohr of Dress to Kill will be here for a trunk show on Wednesday, April 3rd through Saturday April 6th.  She is bringing all of her different pieces both for spring, for immediate gratification, and to order for fall.

The rings are here!  Feel free to come in and try them on and we will either be able to sell them to you right away or we will order you one.  It comes in gold as well. We love this girlfriend ring!!

We are showing these once again because we sold out of all the scarves with fringe from Annemieke AGAIN after we sent this so we got one more set and here they are!

If you have not been in to see Rundholz, don’t wait too much longer as we are already sold out of a few styles. If you like a more fitted look you will love this mesh dress from Rundholz Dip.  In person it is even prettier.  Put a sweater over it for day and then go out to dinner in an interesting look.

If you are in New York try and get tickets for To Kill A Mockingbird.  It is breathtaking. Every person in the cast is just superb and the writing by Aaron Sorkin is typical: he educates you, he entertains you, and then he breaks your heart. (Think West Wing when Mrs. Landingham died and Martin Sheen screams at God in the National Cathedral and then puts a cigarette out on the floor!) We think they will win every Tony in every category.  We may never get over it, and yes Katy will tell you I cried through the entire second act.  Ok, there I said it myself!

I am working on my Academy Awards roundup so I will send it under a separate email in a few days.

Ok, here is your homework: RSVP to the Ray Harris conversation, call or email Medwish and reserve a ticket to our fundraiser and mark your calendars for the Dress to Kill trunk show.

See you soon!
