Bonjour Spring!

Hello Spring!
A word about the Corona Virus.
We realize that shopping is probably the last thing on your minds right now
but here is what we are doing here at Upstairs on 7th to stay safe: we have and will continue to wipe down all of the surfaces in our store twice daily and so is our building. We also have sanitizing wipes for you to use.
The good news is we don’t have more than 20 people congregating here other than when we have our speaker series.  The good/bad news is that we have just about all of our spring clothes and jewelry for you to see.
Eventually we will go back to our regular routines without fear, but until then we are most happy to FaceTime with you and ship whatever you want so you can shop within the confines of your own home.  We never charge anything out until you let us know what you want to keep. All we ask is that you ship back what you don’t want as soon as possible.
Thank you all for your continued support of our store. As an independent boutique we cannot tell you how much it means to us that you come see us or call us instead of shopping online. With everything going on in the world, we really appreciate that you make the time and space for us in your lives.
Now that we are all so “happy” here is the rest of our email!
As you all recover from springing forward and losing a precious hour of sleep, it is still Christmas over at Upstairs on 7th as we continue to get new things every day.  As the days get longer and lighter and we get to shed coats and boots, its a great time to go through closets and see what you might need for spring. There are lots of beautiful things here for you.
Looking for light, breezy fabrics? The new tops from Giada Forte, Megan Park and Ganni might just be the thing. Moyuru will be here on Friday.  It is spectacular!
Are you craving a beautiful tuxedo? Rachel Comey made a gorgeous silk one that we’ve been drooling over. Shown below with jeans, which is just how you can wear it when not dressing up with the matching pants, is one of the most beautiful jackets ever:
Do you need a special dress? Annet Rostel and Ray Harris are both at the ready.
The fabric this Anett Rostel dress was made with is even more amazing in person:
Here is Ray Harris’ newest twist dress so we have another favorite dress:
We still have some of our initial order from Rundholz and expect our next one at the end of the week.
There are lots of fun handbags from Zilla, Replika and Ganni.
Both of these styles come in both colors.  Love these.
We have so much new jewelry! Monies, Rachel Comey, Samuel Coraux, they are all here.
Speaking of Samuel Coraux, Katy was in Paris last week and visited him.
Here is a photo from his shop! Samuel himself was there packing orders.
And gorgeous earrings from Rachel Comey:
We are so excited to introduce you to one of our new lines for fall: Labo Art from Italy! We will be hosting a trunk show on March, 18th, 19th and 20th, so please mark your calendars and please set aside some time to come.  The line is full of easy shapes that range from fitted to loose in cotton and poplin and come in more than a dozen colors. These are year-round pieces that will be great staples for your wardrobe.
A reminder that on March 24th, Ruth Marcus will be here for her Off the Rack conversation to discuss her new book Supreme Ambition: Brett Kavanaugh and the Conservative Takeover. We have copies available in the store, so if you’d like you can pick one up and get a head start.  We will serve a light dinner from 6-7, and the conversation will run form 7-8. Ruth will sign books following the conversation. Please RSVP to upstairson7th@me.com to reserve your seat.  We have about 5 left.

Our Small Piece Art Show date is Wednesday, April 22nd from 5-8.
Artists can email Katy at: Katy@thecuratedgroup.com to let her know that you would like to participate.
As you know, we love to find new lines to keep this place fresh and so we started attending the Paris markets. I went last fall and Katy has just returned. (The title of this email should have been a dead giveaway!) We found lots of new designers that we will reveal as the season unfolds. The first one is the winner of the Netflix show: Next in Fashion! We won’t spoil the ending for you, maybe just take up the day it will take you to binge watch and find out who this designer is. It took a lot of quick digging in the middle of the night to find this designer and just for the record, Katy did this after episode three, not knowing that they had won the show, just that they needed to be a part of the Upstairs on 7th roster.
When you are done watching, come visit and we will show you pictures of what we ordered.
The very last of our sale merchandise is now 70% off which is the final markdown so the last of fall is really a bargain!
Please stay healthy and safe! And if you need retail therapy we are here!
