Upstairs on 7th: Hello Summer! We see you!

Hello!

Beautiful weather calls for beautiful clothes and we have them!
They have been waiting for you!
When we visit the store, the saddest part of being there (besides that you’re not there with us,) is that we really did choose some pretty clothes for the summer season.
As it has gotten warmer, it has been nice to wear some of what we bought for ourselves and retire our “Covid outfits”, meaning pajamas!
If you need something fresh as we start to be able to get out and about a little bit and you put your winter clothes away, we are here for you.
We are planning on opening this Friday as that is the day the Mayor has said she will let us open BUT we are allowed to have one person in the store so if you would like to come before then please email us as we are here pretty much every day now.
Just as a reminder this will be the U7 protocol:
  • Masks will be required for everybody in the store by order of the governor and mayor. If you don’t have a mask, we will have masks available for sale.
  • We will be limiting the number of customers to two in the store. We recommend that you make an appointment in advance by emailing our dedicated email address: u7wardrobe@gmail.com, or if you are nearby and want to come in, please call us at 301-351-8308 in advance so that we can attempt to accommodate you.
  • For your use, we will be providing hand sanitizer at various points throughout the store. Our restroom will remain open for your hand washing (and other) needs.
  • In addition to our normal care of garments, we will steaming items after they have been tried on if they are not bought.
  • If you do not feel 100% healthy, we ask that you please reschedule your visit with us and know we would love to welcome you any time when you are feeling better. We will do the same.
  • We have continued to elevate our cleaning program, sanitizing frequently used surfaces, doorknobs, railings, etc., and we are taking other measures to make sure our store remains as clean as can be.
We hope that by implementing these measures we can substantially reduce the risks of contracting the virus while at the same time helping to make you feel comfortable shopping with us.
As always, we are available for Zoom and FaceTime, just email us at: u7wardrobe@gmail.com or reply to this email and we will confirm the who, what, where, when and how.
Here are just a few of the gorgeous dresses we have in the store right now:

If you haven’t found the mask of your dreams (and we all need a small wardrobe of them,) we still have some Ray masks.

Also, since Birthdays, Anniversaries, Graduations, etc. don’t know we’re in a midst of a pandemic, if you need any small gifts, a reminder that we have lots of stationery items, jewelry and gift certificates (which don’t expire,) that we are happy to send to your recipient for you. Everything in the store is 20% off with the exception of Annemieke.

Katy is taking another online class. Some of you might find this one of interest. It is a free course on Coursera.com offered by MOMA, called Fashion as Design. It explores iconic items of fashion in history as design objects, i.e the white tshirt, the red lipstick, the bomber jacket, the jumpsuit, etc. If you want to fill up some of the rest of your global pandemic related sabbatical, this is an interesting way to do it. Or just watch the new episodes of Queer Eye or Somebody Feed Phil on Netlix, which are both so feel good!
Here is last week’s puzzle answers:
Here is this week’s puzzle:
Only 17 points for genius! This might mean it’s a tricky one.
Have a wonderful week everyone.
Until then, stay safe, stay healthy, sort out your closet (it’s a perfect time to edit out things that no longer bring you joy,) and we will see you soon.
We will!
