Upstairs on 7th: Deck the Halls…

Deck the halls with something so that your Zoom background isn’t boring!
Are you all Zoom holiday party ready? We brought this up last week, but this is a PSA that you have spent another week in those sweats. If you’re cool with that, so are we, but if you’re not, we’re here to help!

We have lots of cozy, comfy clothes here that we promise will make you feel like a new woman. We have lots of elastic waists so you don’t have to give up wine or your bread baking. We’re not asking you to change, just suggesting that you might want to change clothes!

What are your plans for the holidays? We’re thinking puzzles, Christmas movies and Chinese food. Katy’s already had her annual Elf and The Family Stone viewings and while it is kind of terrible, suggests Last Christmas, if for nothing else than the great George Michael soundtrack.

By the way, when you are finished with your puzzles, bring them here and we will set up a puzzle exchange library. Bring one and take one. Bring two and take two. Etc. It’s no fun to do the same puzzle over and over. This year has been Groundhog’s Day enough, right? We thought this would be a great way to keep everyone in new puzzles until the spring.

We did get in the holiday spirit yesterday (fine, Hannukah was already halfway over, but we got there,) and dressed the mannequins for the holidays. The ladies look so pretty. Here they are! If you see anything that would make you feel more celebratory, let us know. It’s a wonder what a new scarf or necklace can do to make one feel a little bit more jolly.
Have you gotten your holiday cards sent out? Our dear friend Chandra Greer in Chicago was interviewed on Weekend Edition with Scott Simon about this very thing. It is such a great conversation, we thought you’d like to hear it yourself.  Here is the link to copy and paste:

For those of you who missed our Facebook Live on Monday, where were you?! Just kidding. You missed some new books that make great gifts. Here they are! We’ll be back live this afternoon at 3pm EST. We may be coming to you during a DC blizzard AKA one whole inch of snow, so come see. We’ll make sure to show you what it looks like outside so all of you in the North and Midwest can have a good chuckle.
Speaking of a laugh, we have lots really good ones this week:
We are here this week from 11-5-sh Monday-Friday and Saturday from 12-5. We’d love to be your elves and help you pick out gifts and something for yourself. As always, we are also happy to Facetime. We love seeing your faces. We’re a little sick of our own!
