First I want to thank everyone who came to the store on Saturday for the Kedem Sasson show. It was so much fun although so crazy that I am sorry I did not get to help more people. I think everyone got what they wanted and customers familiar with the items were helping new customers so I think everyone had a good time. I bought a lot of it for those of you who could not make it because it was sensational. Especially the seersucker! Now that it is quiet here again, come back so you can really see all the beautiful clothes that are here because everything got very pleasantly mixed up! I literally spent all day yesterday putting the store back together ALTHOUGH I have moved all the furniture and I think it s a little roomier and easier to see all the new jewelry that has come in.
Speaking of jewelry there are a lot of great inexpensive bracelets starting at only $30 and there are lots of crystal necklaces that you can double wrap. Lots of red, white, black jewelry to go with spring clothes you may have bought last year. You know accessories are the way to go to spruce up an outfit or change it slightly. Like you didn’t already know that! Angela Caputi is being shipped from Italy today and it is a little more expensive but so beautiful I could not resist. It should be here in a week or so and I will post pictures as soon as I get it. They are very special pieces and I think you will want to own a piece or two. Or maybe three.
The Crea tee shirts are here in red, white, black, blue, and gray. If you have them from last year then you know why they are so good. They have a great neckline and they have three quarter sleeves and they wash very well. I sold twelve of them last week so if you want some, I am happy to send them out to you or come in before they are all gone, although I did buy a bunch having sold out too quickly last year. I have the tanks in those colors as well that go under lots of the sweaters I carry. Next week Skif will be here and I am hoping the new Kim Sun will show up too. I LOVE that line!
For those of you still waiting for La Petite Robe show, Larry the rep is still recuperating from his heart surgery so I think he will be able to travel next month. I will definitely let you all know.
Before I forget, I meant to discuss coats for winter with you. For those of you who have seen the Ray Harris fleece coats that are made from recycled soda bottles or as we from the midwest say POP bottles, his new ones were the talk of the show. They come in a deep smoky gray, deep beige, black, of course, and silver and they literally look like mink coats. I personally ordered two for myself. They are really really gorgeous. I also bought some of his throws that you can use as wraps or in your home. Next time you are here, ask me to show you the drawings and the samples of the fabric. There were also a lot of beautiful black winter coats from lots of different designers including Niche that had beautiful and well priced ones this year. So what am I saying exactly? I am saying that if you want a gorgeous coat this year, this is the year to buy one.
Remember that I am open by appointment on Saturday, you can forward this email to all of your friends, you can go on facebook to the Upstairs on 7th page directly from this email and you should come in soon to see all the great spring clothes and accessories.
