It is supposed to get better by Saturday and that is a good thing because I am open from 12-5 and Jodi, who has Gallery 555, has the opening of her new show Heavy Metal: Women. It is half put up and there are some great pieces for you to see and buy. There are some metal paintings that are very interesting and lots of good sculpture. AND all the artists are women so it is good to support their effort.
I got in lots of striped jersey from Niche today in the cascade shape you must love because every time I get it in, I sell it out. There are some cardigans this time too so if you already own the jersey stripe top from this season I have some cardigans to go over them. Even though they are long sleeve, at the rate we are going we are going to need long sleeve cardies until AUGUST!!!
For those of you who know me, you know that any designer that does tulle and dots will have me buying, buying, buying. Pictured below are some pieces from Kokomarina, a line from Paris that I love! Tulle, dots, knits, what could be better? There are so many pieces that I had to look at their catalog to put them together. It is a really fun, COLORFUL line that I think you will really like and want to wear if the weather would just clear up.
Thanks to everyone who came to the theater party. It was so nice to have you all and I hope everyone liked the movie. For those of you who did not get to come, I heard that the Avalon Theater is going to start showing the movie, Bill Cunningham. If you like fashion and enjoy the Street Sense and society columns in the Sunday New York Times, you will not want to miss it. It is very funny in parts but also very poignant. Also, if you liked Station Agent and the Visitor, Win Win by the same director is also very good. It stars Paul Giamatti and Amy Ryan who was fabulous in Gone Baby Gone. She is very funny in this movie.
Have a great weekend and if you are around stop in and see me on Saturday!
