Upstairs on 7th: Raising funds for Jose Andres’ World Central Kitchen

Hi everyone!
Sorry about the title confusion last week. I forgot to change it in one of the boxes from the week before. It was SUPPOSED to be titled: Our Emails Are Back which referenced the fact that we didn’t send one out a few weeks ago and everyone asked if they had missed one. Thanks for reading so that you noticed we didn’t do one. As usual, we very much appreciate all your support!
Yesterday was International Woman’s Day. Lucky us we live in DC so we are surrounded by all of you who are truly accomplished amazing women. And today we salute the incredibly brave women of the Ukraine for surviving with missiles coming at them and in a lot of cases, dropping their children off on the borders, and going back to fight. When you think about our ordinary life we are living right this minute it is hard to believe that just two weeks ago the people of the Ukraine were doing the same thing and then they were not.
Since we are so lucky to live in the United States we are going to give ten percent of all of our sales this week to Jose Andres’ World Central Kitchen. Two days before the invasion Jose went to Poland and got all the chefs in all the border countries to set up, cook, and donate meals to the refugees streaming in from the Ukraine. Some day he will win the Nobel Prize for his efforts and deservedly so.
If you watch our videos on Tuesdays and Fridays you know I have been obsessed with the Magnolia Bakery banana pudding. Our friend Barbara McConagha sent me the Magnolia Bakery cookbook so I got all the ingredients to make it as it is so simple. Not wanting to be the only person to pack on ten pounds eating it I am sending it off to all of you so we can be obsessed together!!
Here are some of our favorite new items in the store right now!
